| Psalms 77:1 | My cry goes to God! Indeed, I cry to God for help, And for him to listen to me. | To the chief Musician, to Jeduthun, A Psalm of Asaph. I cried to God with my voice, even to God with my voice; and he gave ear to me. | Understanding for Asaph. Attend, O my people, to my law: incline your ears to the words of my mouth. | To the Overseer, for Jeduthun. A Psalm of Asaph. My voice [is] to God, and I cry, my voice [is] to God, And He hath given ear unto me. |
| Psalms 77:2 | In the day of my trouble I sought the Lord. My hand was stretched out in the night, and didn't get tired. Will he be favorable no more? | Will the Lord cast off for ever? and will he be favorable no more? | That they may put their hope in God and may not forget the works of God: and may seek his commandments. | To the ages doth the Lord cast off? Doth He add to be pleased no more? |

Does his promise fail for generations? | Is his mercy wholly gone for ever? doth his promise fail for evermore? | That they may not become like their fathers, a perverse end exasperating generation. A generation that set not their heart aright: and whose spirit was not faithful to God. | Hath His kindness ceased for ever? The saying failed to all generations? |
