Isaiah 10:1Woe to those who decree unrighteous decrees, and to the writers who write perverseness;Woe to them that decree unrighteous decrees, and that write grievousness which they have prescribed;
Isaiah 10:2to turn aside the needy from justice, and to rob the poor of my people of their right, that widows may be their spoil, and that they may make the fatherless their prey!To turn aside the needy from judgment, and to take away the right from the poor of my people, that widows may be their prey, and that they may rob the fatherless!
Isaiah 10:3What will you do in the day of visitation, and in the desolation which shall come from far? to whom will you flee for help? and where will you leave your glory?And what will ye do in the day of visitation, and in the desolation which shall come from far? to whom will ye flee for help? and where will ye leave your glory?
Isaiah 10:4They shall only bow down under the prisoners, and shall fall under the slain. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.Without me they shall bow down under the prisoners, and they shall fall under the slain. Isaiah 10:5Ho Assyrian, the rod of my anger, the staff in whose hand is my indignation!O Assyrian, the rod of my anger, and the staff in their hand is my indignation.
Isaiah 10:6I will send him against a profane nation, and against the people of my wrath will I give him a charge, to take the spoil, and to take the prey, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets.I will send him against a hypocritical nation, and against the people of my wrath will I give him a charge, to take the spoil, and to take the prey, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets.
Isaiah 10:7However he doesn't mean so, neither does his heart think so; but it is in his heart to destroy, and to cut off not a few nations.Howbeit he meaneth not so, neither doth his heart think so; but it is in his heart to destroy and cut off nations not a few.
Isaiah 10:8For he says, Aren't my princes all of them kings?For he saith, Are not my princes altogether kings?
Isaiah 10:9Isn't Calno as Carchemish? Isn't Hamath as Arpad? Isn't Samaria as Damascus?Is not Calno as Carchemish? is not Hamath as Arpad? is not Samaria as Damascus?
Isaiah 10:10As my hand has found the kingdoms of the idols, whose engraved images did excel them of Jerusalem and of Samaria;As my hand hath found the kingdoms of the idols, and whose graven images excelled them of Jerusalem and of Samaria;
Isaiah 10:11shall I not, as I have done to Samaria and her idols, so do to Jerusalem and her idols?Shall I not, as I have done to Samaria and her idols, so do to Jerusalem and her idols?
Isaiah 10:12Therefore it shall happen that, when the Lord has performed his whole work on Mount Zion and on Jerusalem, I will punish the fruit of the stout heart of the king of Assyria, and the glory of his high looks.Wherefore it shall come to pass, that when the Lord hath performed his whole work upon mount Zion and on Jerusalem, I will punish the fruit of the stout heart of the king of Assyria, and the glory of his high looks.
Isaiah 10:13For he has said, By the strength of my hand I have done it, and by my wisdom; for I have understanding: and I have removed the bounds of the peoples, and have robbed their treasures, and like a valiant man I have brought down those who sit [on thrones]:For he saith, By the strength of my hand I have done it, and by my wisdom; for I am prudent: and I have removed the bounds of the people, and have robbed their treasures, and I have put down the inhabitants like a valiant man:
Isaiah 10:14and my hand has found as a nest the riches of the peoples; and as one gathers eggs that are forsaken, have I gathered all the earth: and there was none that moved the wing, or that opened the mouth, or chirped.And my hand hath found as a nest the riches of the people: and as one gathereth eggs that are left, have I gathered all the earth; and there was none that moved the wing, or opened the mouth, or peeped.
Isaiah 10:15Shall the ax boast itself against him who hews therewith? Shall the saw magnify itself against him who wields it? as if a rod should wield those who lift it up, [or] as if a staff should lift up [him who is] not wood.Shall the ax boast itself against him that heweth with it? or shall the saw magnify itself against him that moveth it? as if the rod should shake itself against them that lift it, or as if the staff should lift itself, as if it were no wood.
Isaiah 10:16Therefore will the Lord, Yahweh of Hosts, send among his fat ones leanness; and under his glory there shall be kindled a burning like the burning of fire.Therefore will the Lord, the LORD of hosts, send among his fat ones leanness; and under his glory he will kindle a burning like the burning of a fire.
Isaiah 10:17The light of Israel will be for a fire, and his Holy One for a flame; and it will burn and devour his thorns and his briers in one day.And the light of Israel shall be for a fire, and his Holy One for a flame: and it shall burn and devour his thorns and his briers in one day;
Isaiah 10:18He will consume the glory of his forest, and of his fruitful field, both soul and body: and it shall be as when a standard-bearer faints.And shall consume the glory of his forest, and of his fruitful field, both soul and body: and they shall be as when a standard-bearer fainteth.
Isaiah 10:19The remnant of the trees of his forest shall be few, so that a child may write them.And the rest of the trees of his forest shall be few, that a child may write them.
Isaiah 10:20It shall come to pass in that day, that the remnant of Israel, and those who are escaped of the house of Jacob, shall no more again lean on him who struck them, but shall lean on Yahweh, the Holy One of Israel, in truth.And it shall come to pass in that day, that the remnant of Israel, and such as have escaped of the house of Jacob, shall no more again lean upon him that smote them; but shall lean upon the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, in truth.
Isaiah 10:21A remnant shall return, [even] the remnant of Jacob, to the mighty God.The remnant shall return, even the remnant of Jacob, to the mighty God.
Isaiah 10:22For though your people, Israel, be as the sand of the sea, [only] a remnant of them shall return: a destruction [is] determined, overflowing with righteousness.For though thy people Israel be as the sand of the sea, yet a remnant of them shall return: the consumption decreed shall overflow with righteousness.
Isaiah 10:23For a full end, and that determined, will the Lord, Yahweh of Hosts, make in the midst of all the earth.For the Lord GOD of hosts will make a consumption, even determined, in the midst of all the land.
Isaiah 10:24Therefore thus says the Lord, Yahweh of Hosts, my people who dwell in Zion, don't be afraid of the Assyrian, though he strike you with the rod, and lift up his staff against you, after the manner of Egypt.Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD of hosts, O my people that dwellest in Zion, be not afraid of the Assyrian: he shall smite thee with a rod, and shall lift up his staff against thee, after the manner of Egypt.
Isaiah 10:25For yet a very little while, and the indignation [against you] shall be accomplished, and my anger [shall be directed] to his destruction.For yet a very little while, and the indignation shall cease, and my anger in their destruction.
Isaiah 10:26Yahweh of Hosts will stir up against him a scourge, as in the slaughter of Midian at the rock of Oreb: and his rod will be over the sea, and he will lift it up after the manner of Egypt.And the LORD of hosts will raise up a scourge for him according to the slaughter of Midian at the rock of Oreb: and as his rod was upon the sea, so shall he lift it up after the manner of Egypt.
Isaiah 10:27It shall happen in that day, that his burden shall depart from off your shoulder, and his yoke from off your neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed by reason of fatness.And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.
Isaiah 10:28He is come to Aiath, he is passed through Migron; at Michmash he lays up his baggage;He is come to Aiath, he is passed to Migron; at Michmash he hath laid up his furniture.

Isaiah 10:30Cry aloud with your voice, daughter of Gallim! listen, Laishah! You poor Anathoth!Lift up thy voice, O daughter of Gallim: cause it to be heard to Laish, O poor Anathoth.
Isaiah 10:31Madmenah is a fugitive; the inhabitants of Gebim flee for safety.Madmenah is removed; the inhabitants of Gebim gather themselves to flee.
Isaiah 10:32This very day shall he halt at Nob: he shakes his hand at the mountain of the daughter of Zion, the hill of Jerusalem.As yet shall he remain at Nob that day: he shall shake his hand against the mount of the daughter of Zion, the hill of Jerusalem.
Isaiah 10:33Behold, the Lord, Yahweh of Hosts, will lop the boughs with terror: and the high of stature shall be hewn down, and the lofty shall be brought low.Behold, the Lord, the LORD of hosts will lop the bough with terror: and the high ones of stature shall be hewn down, and the haughty shall be humbled.
Isaiah 10:34He will cut down the thickets of the forest with iron, and Lebanon shall fall by a mighty one.And he shall cut down the thickets of the forests with iron, and Lebanon shall fall by a mighty one.
