Psalms 90:1Lord, you have been our dwelling place In all generations.A Prayer of Moses, the man of God. Lord, a habitation Thou Thou hast been, To us in generation and generation,The praise of a canticle for David. He that dwelleth in the aid of the most High, shall abide under the protection of the God of Jacob.A prayer of Moses the man of God. Lord, thou hast been our dwelling-place in all generations.
Psalms 90:2Before the mountains were brought forth, Or ever you had formed the earth and the world, Even from everlasting to everlasting, you are God.Before mountains were brought forth, And Thou dost form the earth and the world, Even from age unto age Thou [art] God.He shall say to the Lord: Thou art my protector, and my refuge: my God, in him will I trust. Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.
Psalms 90:3You turn man to destruction, saying, "Return, you children of men."Thou turnest man unto a bruised thing, And sayest, Turn back, ye sons of men.For he hath delivered me from the snare of the hunters: and from the sharp word.Thou turnest man to destruction; and sayest, Return, ye children of men.
Psalms 90:4For a thousand years in your sight Are but as yesterday when it is past, As a watch in the night. For a thousand years in Thine eyes [are] as yesterday, For it passeth on, yea, a watch by night. He will overshadow thee with his shoulders: and under his wings thou shalt trust. For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.
Psalms 90:5You sweep them away as they sleep. In the morning they sprout like new grass.Thou hast inundated them, they are asleep, In the morning as grass he changeth. His truth shall compass thee with a shield: thou shalt not be afraid of the terror of the night.Thou carriest them away as with a flood; they are as a sleep; in the morning they are like grass which groweth.
Psalms 90:6In the morning it sprouts and springs up. By evening, it is withered and dry.In the morning it flourisheth, and hath changed, At evening it is cut down, and hath withered.Of the arrow that flieth in the day, of the business that walketh about in the dark: of invasion, or of the noonday devil. In the morning it flourisheth, and groweth; in the evening it is cut down, and withereth.
Psalms 90:7For we are consumed in your anger. We are troubled in your wrath. For we were consumed in Thine anger, And in Thy fury we have been troubled.A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand: but it shall not come nigh thee. For we are consumed by thy anger, and by thy wrath are we troubled.
Psalms 90:8You have set our iniquities before you, Our secret sins in the light of your presence.Thou hast set our iniquities before Thee, Our hidden things at the light of Thy face,But thou shalt consider with thy eyes: and shalt see the reward of the wicked.Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, our secret sins in the light of thy countenance.
Psalms 90:9For all our days have passed away in your wrath. We bring our years to an end as a sigh. For all our days pined away in Thy wrath, We consumed our years as a meditation.Because thou, O Lord, art my hope: thou hast made the most High thy refuge. For all our days are passed away in thy wrath: we spend our years, as a tale that is told.
Psalms 90:10The days of our years are seventy, Or even by reason of strength eighty years; Yet their pride is but labor and sorrow, For it passes quickly, and we fly away.Days of our years, in them [are] seventy years, And if, by reason of might, eighty years, Yet [is] their enlargement labour and vanity, For it hath been cut off hastily, and we fly away. There shall no evil come to thee: nor shall the scourge come near thy dwelling. The days of our years are seventy years; and if by reason of strength they are eighty years, yet is their strength labor and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.
Psalms 90:11Who knows the power of your anger, Your wrath according to the fear that is due to you?Who knoweth the power of Thine anger? And according to Thy fear Thy wrath? For he hath given his angels charge over thee; to keep thee in all thy ways.Who knoweth the power of thy anger? even according to thy fear, so is thy wrath.
Psalms 90:12So teach us to number our days, That we may gain a heart of wisdom. To number our days aright let [us] know, And we bring the heart to wisdom. In their hands they shall bear thee up: lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts to wisdom.
Psalms 90:13Relent, Yahweh! How long? Have compassion on your servants.Turn back, O Jehovah, till when? And repent concerning Thy servants.Thou shalt walk upon the asp and the basilisk: and thou shalt trample under foot the lion and the dragon.Return, O LORD, how long? and repent thou concerning thy servants.
Psalms 90:14Satisfy us in the morning with your lovingkindness, That we may rejoice and be glad all our days.Satisfy us at morn [with] Thy kindness, And we sing and rejoice all our days.Because he hoped in me I will deliver him: I will protect him because he hath known my name.O satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.
Psalms 90:15Make us glad for as many days as you have afflicted us, For as many years as we have seen evil.Cause us to rejoice according to the days Wherein Thou hast afflicted us, The years we have seen evil.He shall cry to me, and I will hear him: I am with him in tribulation, I will deliver him, and I will glorify him.Make us glad according to the days in which thou hast afflicted us, and the years in which we have seen evil.
Psalms 90:16Let your work appear to your servants; Your glory to their children.Let Thy work appear unto Thy servants, And Thine honour on their sons.I will fill him with length of days; and I will shew him my salvation.Let thy work appear to thy servants, and thy glory to their children.
Psalms 90:17Let the favor of the Lord our God be on us; Establish the work of our hands for us; Yes, establish the work of our hands. Psalm 91And let the pleasantness of Jehovah our God be upon us, And the work of our hands establish on us, Yea, the work of our hands establish it!And let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yes, the work of our hands establish thou it.
