| Psalms 36:1 | To the Overseer. By a servant of Jehovah, by David. The transgression of the wicked Is affirming within my heart, `Fear of God is not before his eyes, | The transgression of the wicked saith within my heart, There is no fear of God before his eyes. | <To the chief music-maker. Of the servant of the Lord. Of David.> The sin of the evil-doer says in his heart, There is no fear of the Lord before his eyes. | To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David the servant of the LORD. The transgression of the wicked saith within my heart, that there is no fear of God before his eyes. |
| Psalms 36:2 | For he made [it] smooth to himself in his eyes, To find his iniquity to be hated. | For he flattereth himself in his own eyes, That his iniquity will not be found out and be hated. | For he takes comfort in the thought that his sin will not be uncovered and hated. | For he flattereth himself in his own eyes, until his iniquity is found to be hateful. |
