Psalms 72:1By Solomon. O God, Thy judgments to the king give, And Thy righteousness to the king`s son.Give the king thy judgments, O God, And thy righteousness unto the king's son. <Of Solomon.> Give the king your authority, O God, and your righteousness to the king's son.God, give the king your justice; Your righteousness to the royal son.
Psalms 72:2He judgeth Thy people with righteousness, And Thy poor with judgment.He will judge thy people with righteousness, And thy poor with justice. May he be a judge of your people in righteousness, and make true decisions for the poor.He will judge your people with righteousness, And your poor with justice.
Psalms 72:3The mountains bear peace to the people, And the heights by righteousness.The mountains shall bring peace to the people, And the hills, in righteousness. May the mountains give peace to the people, and the hills righteousness.The mountains shall bring prosperity to the people; The hills bring the fruit of righteousness.
Psalms 72:4He judgeth the poor of the people, Giveth deliverance to the sons of the needy, And bruiseth the oppressor.He will judge the poor of the people, He will save the children of the needy, And will break in pieces the oppressor. May he be a judge of the poor among the people, may he give salvation to the children of those who are in need; by him let the violent be crushed.He will judge the poor of the people. He will save the children of the needy, And will break the oppressor in pieces.
Psalms 72:5They fear Thee with the sun, and before the moon, Generation generations.They shall fear thee while the sun endureth, And so long as the moon, throughout all generations. May his life go on as long as the sun and moon, through all generations.They shall fear you while the sun endures; And as long as the moon, throughout all generations.
Psalms 72:6He cometh down as rain on mown grass, As showers sprinkling the earth.He will come down like rain upon the mown grass, As showers that water the earth. May he come down like rain on the cut grass; like showers watering the earth.He will come down like rain on the mown grass, As showers that water the earth.
Psalms 72:7Flourish in his days doth the righteous, And abundance of peace till the moon is not.In his days shall the righteous flourish, And abundance of peace, till the moon be no more. In his days may the upright do well, living in peace as long as there is a moon in heaven.In his days, the righteous shall flourish, And abundance of peace, until the moon is no more.

Psalms 72:9Before him bow do the inhabitants of the dry places, And his enemies lick the dust.They that dwell in the wilderness shall bow before him; And his enemies shall lick the dust. Let those who are against him go down before him; and let his haters be low in the dust.Those who dwell in the wilderness shall bow before him. His enemies shall lick the dust.
Psalms 72:10Kings of Tarshish and of the isles send back a present. Kings of Sheba and Seba a reward bring near.The kings of Tarshish and of the isles shall render tribute: The kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts. Let the kings of Tarshish and of the islands come back with offerings; let the kings of Sheba and Seba give of their stores.The kings of Tarshish and of the isles will bring tribute. The kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts.
Psalms 72:11And all kings do bow themselves to him, All nations do serve him,Yea, all kings shall fall down before him; All nations shall serve him. Yes, let all kings go down before him; let all nations be his servants.Yes, all kings shall fall down before him. All nations shall serve him.
Psalms 72:12For he delivereth the needy who crieth, And the poor when he hath no helper,For he will deliver the needy when he crieth, And the poor, that hath no helper. For he will be a saviour to the poor in answer to his cry; and to him who is in need, without a helper.For he will deliver the needy when he cries; The poor, who has no helper.
Psalms 72:13He hath pity on the poor and needy, And the souls of the needy he saveth,He will have pity on the poor and needy, And the souls of the needy he will save. He will have pity on the poor, and be the saviour of those who are in need.He will have pity on the poor and needy. He will save the souls of the needy.
Psalms 72:14From fraud and from violence he redeemeth their soul, And precious is their blood in his eyes.He will redeem their soul from oppression and violence; And precious will their blood be in his sight: He will keep their souls free from evil designs and violent attacks; and their blood will be of value in his eyes.He will redeem their soul from oppression and violence. Psalms 72:15And he liveth, and giveth to him of the gold of Sheba, And prayeth for him continually, All the day he doth bless him.And they shall live; and to him shall be given of the gold of Sheba: And men shall pray for him continually; They shall bless him all the day long. May he have long life, and may gold from Sheba be given to him: may prayers be made for him at all times; may blessings be on him every day.They shall live, and to him shall be given of the gold of Sheba. Psalms 72:16There is a handful of corn in the earth, On the top of mountains, Shake like Lebanon doth its fruit, And they flourish out of the city as the herb of the earth.There shall be abundance of grain in the earth upon the top of the mountains; The fruit thereof shall shake like Lebanon: And they of the city shall flourish like grass of the earth. May there be wide-stretching fields of grain in the land, shaking on the top of the mountains, full of fruit like Lebanon: may its stems be unnumbered like the grass of the earth.There shall be abundance of grain throughout the land. Its fruit sways like Lebanon. Let it flourish, thriving like the grass of the field.
Psalms 72:17His name is to the age, Before the sun is his name continued, And they bless themselves in him, All nations do pronounce him happy.His name shall endure for ever; His name shall be continued as long as the sun: And men shall be blessed in him; All nations shall call him happy. May his name go on for ever, as long as the sun: may men be blessing themselves by him; may all nations be blessing his name.His name endures forever. His name continues as long as the sun. Men shall be blessed by him. All nations will call him blessed.
Psalms 72:18Blessed is Jehovah God, God of Israel, He alone is doing wonders,Blessed be Jehovah God, the God of Israel, Who only doeth wondrous things: Praise be to the Lord God, the God of Israel, the only doer of wonders.Praise be to Yahweh God, the God of Israel, Who alone does marvelous deeds.
Psalms 72:19And blessed [is] the Name of His honour to the age, And the whole earth is filled [with] His honour. Amen, and amen!And blessed be his glorious name for ever; And let the whole earth be filled with his glory. Amen, and Amen. Praise to the glory of his noble name for ever; let all the earth be full of his glory. So be it, So be it.Blessed be his glorious name forever! Let the whole earth be filled with his glory!
