Job 11:1And Zophar the Naamathite answereth and saith:Then answered Zophar the Naamathite, and said, Then Sophar the Naamathite answered, and said:Then answered Zophar the Naamathite, and said,
Job 11:2Is a multitude of words not answered? And is a man of lips justified?Should not the multitude of words be answered? And should a man full of talk be justified? Shall not he that speaketh much, hear also? or shall a man full of talk be justified?Should not the multitude of words be answered? and should a man full of talk be justified?
Job 11:3Thy devices make men keep silent, Thou scornest, and none is causing blushing!Should thy boastings make men hold their peace? And when thou mockest, shall no man make thee ashamed? Shall men hold their peace to thee only? and when thou hast mocked others, shall no man confute thee?Should thy falsehoods make men hold their peace? and when thou mockest, shall no man make thee ashamed?
Job 11:4And thou sayest, `Pure [is] my discourse, And clean I have been in Thine eyes.`For thou sayest, My doctrine is pure, And I am clean in thine eyes. For thou hast said: My word is pure, and I am clean in thy sight.For thou hast said, My doctrine is pure, and I am clean in thy eyes.
Job 11:5And yet, O that God had spoken! And doth open His lips with thee.But oh that God would speak, And open his lips against thee, And I wish that God would speak with thee, and would open his lips to thee,But Oh that God would speak, and open his lips against thee;
Job 11:6And declare to thee secrets of wisdom, For counsel hath foldings. And know thou that God forgetteth for thee, [Some] of thine iniquity.And that he would show thee the secrets of wisdom! For he is manifold in understanding. Know therefore that God exacteth of thee less than thine iniquity deserveth. That he might shew thee the secrets of wisdom, and that his law is manifold, and thou mightest understand that he exacteth much less of thee, than thy iniquity deserveth.And that he would show thee the secrets of wisdom, that they are double to that which is! Know therefore that God exacteth of thee less than thy iniquity deserveth.
Job 11:7By searching dost thou find out God? Unto perfection find out the Mighty One?Canst thou by searching find out God? Canst thou find out the Almighty unto perfection? Peradventure thou wilt comprehend the steps of God, and wilt find out the Almighty perfectly?Canst thou by searching find out God? canst thou find out the Almighty to perfection?
Job 11:8Heights of the heavens! what dost thou? Deeper than Sheol! what knowest thou?It is high as heaven; what canst thou do? Deeper than Sheol; what canst thou know? He is higher than heaven, and what wilt thou do ? he is deeper than hell, and how wilt thou know?It is as high as heaven; what canst thou do? deeper than hell; what canst thou know?
Job 11:9Longer than earth [is] its measure, And broader than the sea.The measure thereof is longer than the earth, And broader than the sea. The measure of him is longer than the earth, and broader than the sea.The measure of it is longer than the earth, and broader than the sea.
Job 11:10If He pass on, and shut up, and assemble, Who then dost reverse it?If he pass through, and shut up, And all unto judgment, then who can hinder him? If he shall overturn all things, or shall press them together, who shall contradict him?If he shall cut off, and shut up, or gather together, then who can hinder him?
Job 11:11For he hath known men of vanity, And He seeth iniquity, And one doth not consider [it]!For he knoweth false men: He seeth iniquity also, even though he consider it not. For he knoweth the vanity of men, and when he seeth iniquity, doth he not consider it?For he knoweth vain men: he seeth wickedness also; will he not then consider it?
Job 11:12And empty man is bold, And the colt of a wild ass man is born.But vain man is void of understanding, Yea, man is born [as] a wild ass's colt. A vain man is lifted up into pride, and thinketh himself born free like a wild ass's colt.For vain man would be wise, though man is born like a wild ass's colt.
Job 11:13If thou thou hast prepared thy heart, And hast spread out unto Him thy hands,If thou set thy heart aright, And stretch out thy hands toward him; Rut thou hast hardened thy heart, and hast spread thy hands to him.If thou preparest thy heart, and stretchest out thy hands towards him;
Job 11:14If iniquity [is] in thy hand, put it far off, And let not perverseness dwell in thy tents.If iniquity be in thy hand, put it far away, And let not unrighteousness dwell in thy tents. If thou wilt put away from thee the iniquity that is in thy hand, and lot not injustice remain in thy tabernacle:If iniquity is in thy hand, put it far away, and let not wickedness dwell in thy tabernacles.
Job 11:15For then thou liftest up thy face from blemish, And thou hast been firm, and fearest not.Surely then shalt thou lift up thy face without spot; Yea, thou shalt be stedfast, and shalt not fear: Then mayst thou lift up thy face without spot, and thou shalt be steadfast, and shalt not fear.For then shalt thou lift up thy face without spot; yes, thou shalt be steadfast, and shalt not fear:
Job 11:16For thou dost forget misery, As waters passed away thou rememberest.For thou shalt forget thy misery; Thou shalt remember it as waters that are passed away, Thou shalt also forget misery, and remember it only as waters that are passed away.Because thou shalt forget thy misery, and remember it as waters that pass away:
Job 11:17And above the noon doth age rise, Thou fliest as the morning thou art.And [thy] life shall be clearer than the noonday; Though there be darkness, it shall be as the morning. And brightness like that of the noonday, shall arise to thee at evening: and when thou shalt think thyself consumed, thou shalt rise as the day star.And thy age shall be clearer than the noon-day: thou shalt shine forth, thou shalt be as the morning.
Job 11:18And thou hast trusted because their is hope, And searched in confidence thou liest down,And thou shalt be secure, because there is hope; Yea, thou shalt search [about thee], and shalt take thy rest in safety. And thou shalt have confidence, hope being set before thee, and being buried thou shalt sleep secure.And thou shalt be secure, because there is hope; yes, thou shalt dig about thee, and thou shalt take thy rest in safety.
Job 11:19And thou hast rested, And none is causing trembling, And many have entreated thy face;Also thou shalt lie down, and none shall make thee afraid; Yea, many shall make suit unto thee. Thou shalt rest, and there shall be none to make thee afraid: and many shall entreat thy face.Also thou shalt lie down, and none shall make thee afraid; yes, many shall make suit to thee.
Job 11:20And the eyes of the wicked are consumed, And refuge hath perished from them, And their hope [is] a breathing out of soul!But the eyes of the wicked shall fail, And they shall have no way to flee; And their hope shall be the giving up of the ghost. But the eyes of the wicked shall decay, and the way to escape shall fail them, and their hope the abomination of the soul.But the eyes of the wicked shall fail, and they shall not escape, and their hope shall be as the expiration of the breath.
