| Psalms 80:1 | To the Overseer. `On the Lilies.` A testimony of Asaph. A Psalm. Shepherd of Israel, give ear, Leading Joseph as a flock, Inhabiting the cherubs shine forth, | Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, Thou that leadest Joseph like a flock; Thou that sittest [above] the cherubim, shine forth. |
| Psalms 80:2 | Before Ephraim, and Benjamin, and Manasseh, Wake up Thy might, and come for our salvation. | Before Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh, stir up thy might, And come to save us. |
| Psalms 80:3 | O God, cause us to turn back, And cause Thy face to shine, and we are saved. | Turn us again, O God; And cause thy face to shine, and we shall be saved. |
| Psalms 80:4 | Jehovah, God of Hosts, till when? Thou hast burned against the prayer of Thy people. | O Jehovah God of hosts, How long wilt thou be angry against the prayer of thy people? |
| Psalms 80:5 | Thou hast caused them to eat bread of tears, And causest them to drink With tears a third time. | Thou hast fed them with the bread of tears, And given them tears to drink in large measure. |
| Psalms 80:6 | Thou makest us a strife to our neighbors, And our enemies mock at it. | Thou makest us a strife unto our neighbors; And our enemies laugh among themselves. |
| Psalms 80:7 | God of Hosts, turn us back, And cause Thy face to shine, and we are saved. | Turn us again, O God of hosts; And cause thy face to shine, and we shall be saved. |
| Psalms 80:8 | A vine out of Egypt Thou dost bring, Thou dost cast out nations, and plantest it. | Thou broughtest a vine out of Egypt: Thou didst drive out the nations, and plantedst it. |
| Psalms 80:9 | Thou hast looked before it, and dost root it, And it filleth the land, | Thou preparedst [room] before it, And it took deep root, and filled the land. |
| Psalms 80:10 | Covered have been hills [with] its shadow, And its boughs [are] cedars of God. | The mountains were covered with the shadow of it, And the boughs thereof were [like] cedars of God. |
| Psalms 80:11 | It sendeth forth its branches unto the sea, And unto the river its sucklings. | It sent out its branches unto the sea, And its shoots unto the River. |
| Psalms 80:12 | Why hast Thou broken down its hedges, And all passing by the way have plucked it? | Why hast thou broken down its walls, So that all they that pass by the way do pluck it? |
| Psalms 80:13 | A boar out of the forest doth waste it, And a wild beast of the fields consumeth it. | The boar out of the wood doth ravage it, And the wild beasts of the field feed on it. |
| Psalms 80:14 | God of Hosts, turn back, we beseech Thee, Look from heaven, and see, and inspect this vine, | Turn again, we beseech thee, O God of hosts: Look down from heaven, and behold, and visit this vine, |
| Psalms 80:15 | And the root that Thy right hand planted, And the branch Thou madest strong for Thee, | And the stock which thy right hand planted, And the branch that thou madest strong for thyself. |
| Psalms 80:16 | Burnt with fire cut down, From the rebuke of Thy face they perish. | It is burned with fire, it is cut down: They perish at the rebuke of thy countenance. |
| Psalms 80:17 | Let Thy hand be on the man of Thy right hand, On the son of man Thou hast strengthened for Thyself. | Let thy hand be upon the man of thy right hand, Upon the son of man whom thou madest strong for thyself. |
| Psalms 80:18 | And we do not go back from Thee, Thou dost revive us, and in Thy name we call. | So shall we not go back from thee: Quicken thou us, and we will call upon thy name. |
