Song-of-Solomon 4:1Lo, thou [art] fair, my friend, lo, thou [art] fair, Thine eyes [are] doves behind thy veil, Thy hair as a row of the goats That have shone from mount Gilead,Behold, thou art fair, my love; behold, thou art fair; Thine eyes are [as] doves behind thy veil. Thy hair is as a flock of goats, That lie along the side of mount Gilead.
Song-of-Solomon 4:2Thy teeth as a row of the shorn ones That have come up from the washing, For all of them are forming twins, And a bereaved one is not among them.Thy teeth are like a flock [of ewes] that are [newly] shorn, Which are come up from the washing, Whereof every one hath twins, And none is bereaved among them.
Song-of-Solomon 4:3As a thread of scarlet [are] thy lips, And thy speech [is] comely, As the work of the pomegranate [is] thy temple behind thy veil,Thy lips are like a thread of scarlet, And thy mouth is comely. Thy temples are like a piece of a pomegranate Behind thy veil.
Song-of-Solomon 4:4As the tower of David [is] thy neck, built for an armoury, The chief of the shields are hung on it, All shields of the mighty.Thy neck is like the tower of David builded for an armory, Whereon there hang a thousand bucklers, All the shields of the mighty men.
Song-of-Solomon 4:5Thy two breasts [are] as two fawns, Twins of a roe, that are feeding among lilies.Thy two breasts are like two fawns That are twins of a roe, Which feed among the lilies.
Song-of-Solomon 4:6Till the day doth break forth, And the shadows have fled away, I will get me unto the mountain of myrrh, And unto the hill of frankincense.Until the day be cool, and the shadows flee away, I will get me to the mountain of myrrh, And to the hill of frankincense.
Song-of-Solomon 4:7Thou [art] all fair, my friend, And a blemish there is not in thee. Come from Lebanon, O spouse,Thou art all fair, my love; And there is no spot in thee.
Song-of-Solomon 4:8Come from Lebanon, come thou in. Look from the top of Amana, From the top of Shenir and Hermon, From the habitations of lions, From the mountains of leopards.Come with me from Lebanon, [my] bride, With me from Lebanon: Look from the top of Amana, From the top of Senir and Hermon, From the lions' dens, From the mountains of the leopards.
Song-of-Solomon 4:9Thou hast emboldened me, my sister-spouse, Emboldened me with one of thine eyes, With one chain of thy neck.Thou hast ravished my heart, my sister, [my] bride; Thou hast ravished my heart with one of thine eyes, With one chain of thy neck.
Song-of-Solomon 4:10How wonderful have been thy loves, my sister-spouse, How much better have been thy loves than wine, And the fragrance of thy perfumes than all spices.How fair is thy love, my sister, [my] bride! How much better is thy love than wine! And the fragrance of thine oils than all manner of spices!
Song-of-Solomon 4:11Thy lips drop honey, O spouse, Honey and milk [are] under thy tongue, And the fragrance of thy garments [Is] as the fragrance of Lebanon.Thy lips, O [my] bride, drop [as] the honeycomb: Honey and milk are under thy tongue; And the smell of thy garments is like the smell of Lebanon.
Song-of-Solomon 4:12A garden shut up [is] my sister-spouse, A spring shut up a fountain sealed.A garden shut up is my sister, [my] bride; A spring shut up, a fountain sealed.
Song-of-Solomon 4:13Thy shoots a paradise of pomegranates, With precious fruits,Thy shoots are an orchard of pomegranates, with precious fruits; Henna with spikenard plants,
Song-of-Solomon 4:14Cypresses with nard nard and saffron, Cane and cinnamon, With all trees of frankincense, Myrrh and aloes, with all chief spices.Spikenard and saffron, Calamus and cinnamon, with all trees of frankincense; Myrrh and aloes, with all the chief spices.
Song-of-Solomon 4:15A fount of gardens, a well of living waters, And flowings from Lebanon![Thou art] a fountain of gardens, A well of living waters, And flowing streams from Lebanon.
Song-of-Solomon 4:16Awake, O north wind, and come, O south, Cause my garden to breathe forth, its spices let flow, Let my beloved come to his garden, And eat its pleasant fruits!Awake, O north wind; and come, thou south; Blow upon my garden, that the spices thereof may flow out. Let my beloved come into his garden, And eat his precious fruits.
