| Psalms 32:1 | By David. An Instruction. O the happiness of him whose transgression [is] forgiven, Whose sin is covered. | <Of David. Maschil.> Happy is he who has forgiveness for his wrongdoing, and whose sin is covered. | {Of David. Instruction.} Blessed is he [whose] transgression is forgiven, [whose] sin is covered! | A psalm for David. Rejoice in the Lord, O ye just: praise becometh the upright. |
| Psalms 32:2 | O the happiness of a man, To whom Jehovah imputeth not iniquity, And in whose spirit there is no deceit. | Happy is the man in whom the Lord sees no evil, and in whose spirit there is no deceit. | Blessed is the man unto whom Jehovah reckoneth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile! | Give praise to the Lord on the harp; sing to him with the psaltery, the instrument of ten strings. |
| Psalms 32:3 | When I have kept silence, become old have my bones, Through my roaring all the day. | When I kept my mouth shut, my bones were wasted, because of my crying all through the day. | When I kept silence, my bones waxed old, through my groaning all the day long. | Sing to him a new canticle, sing well unto him with a loud noise. |
| Psalms 32:4 | When by day and by night Thy hand is heavy upon me, My moisture hath been changed Into the droughts of summer. Selah. | For the weight of your hand was on me day and night; my body became dry like the earth in summer. (Selah.) | For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me; my moisture was turned into the drought of summer. Selah. | For the word of the Lord is right, and all his works are done with faithfulness. |
| Psalms 32:5 | My sin I cause Thee to know, And mine iniquity I have not covered. I have said, `I confess concerning My transgressions to Jehovah,` And Thou Thou hast taken away, The iniquity of my sin. Selah. | I made my wrongdoing clear to you, and did not keep back my sin. I said, I will put it all before the Lord; and you took away my wrongdoing and my sin. (Selah.) | I acknowledged my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity I covered not; I said, I will confess my transgressions unto Jehovah, and *thou* forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah. | He loveth mercy and judgment; the earth is full of the mercy of the Lord. |
| Psalms 32:6 | For this doth every saintly one pray to Thee, As the time to find. Surely at an overflowing of many waters, Unto him they come not. | For this cause let every saint make his prayer to you at a time when you are near: then the overflowing of the great waters will not overtake him. | For this shall every one that is godly pray unto thee at a time when thou mayest be found: surely in the floods of great waters they will not reach him. | By the word of the Lord the heavens were established; and all the power of them by the spirit of his mouth: |
| Psalms 32:7 | Thou [art] a hiding-place for me, From distress Thou dost keep me, [With] songs of deliverance dost compass me. Selah. | You are my safe and secret place; you will keep me from trouble; you will put songs of salvation on the lips of those who are round me. (Selah.) | Thou art a hiding-place for me; thou preservest me from trouble; thou dost encompass me with songs of deliverance. Selah. | Gathering together the waters of the sea, as in a vessel; laying up the depths in storehouses. |
| Psalms 32:8 | I cause thee to act wisely, And direct thee in the way that thou goest, I cause mine eye to take counsel concerning thee. | I will give you knowledge, teaching you the way to go; my eye will be your guide. | I will instruct thee and teach thee the way in which thou shalt go; I will counsel [thee] with mine eye upon thee. | Let all the earth fear the Lord, and let all the inhabitants of the world be in awe of him. |
| Psalms 32:9 | Be ye not as a horse as a mule, Without understanding, With bridle and bit, its ornaments, to curb, Not to come near unto thee. | Do not be like the horse or the ass, without sense; ... | Be ye not as a horse, as a mule, which have no understanding: whose trappings must be bit and bridle, for restraint, or they will not come unto thee. | For he spoke and they were made: he commanded and they were created. |
| Psalms 32:10 | Many [are] the pains of the wicked; As to him who is trusting in Jehovah, Kindness doth compass him. | The sinner will be full of trouble; but mercy will be round the man who has faith in the Lord. | Many sorrows hath the wicked; but he that confideth in Jehovah, loving-kindness shall encompass him. | The Lord bringeth to naught the counsels of nations; and he rejecteth the devices of people, and casteth away the counsels of princes. |
| Psalms 32:11 | Be glad in Jehovah, and rejoice, ye righteous, And sing, all ye upright of heart! | Be glad in the Lord with joy, you upright men; give cries of joy, all you whose hearts are true. | Rejoice in Jehovah, and be glad, ye righteous; and shout for joy, all ye upright in heart. | But the counsel of the Lord standeth for ever: the thoughts of his heart to all generations. |
