Psalms 5:1To the Overseer, `Concerning the Inheritances.` A Psalm of David. My sayings hear, O Jehovah, Consider my meditation.<To the chief music-maker on wind instruments. A Psalm. Of David.> Give ear to my words, O Lord; give thought to my heart-searchings.{To the chief Musician. Upon Nehiloth. A Psalm of David.} Give ear to my words, O Jehovah; consider my meditation.Unto the end, for her that obtaineth the inheritance. A psalm of David.
Psalms 5:2Be attentive to the voice of my cry, My king and my God, For unto Thee I pray habitually.Let the voice of my cry come to you, my King and my God; for to you will I make my prayer.Hearken unto the voice of my crying, my king and my God; for to thee will I pray.Give ear, O Lord, to my words, understand my cry.
Psalms 5:3Jehovah, [at] morning Thou hearest my voice, [At] morning I set in array for Thee, And I look out.My voice will come to you in the morning, O Lord; in the morning will I send my prayer to you, and keep watch.Jehovah, in the morning shalt thou hear my voice; in the morning will I address myself to thee, and will look up.Hearken to the voice of my prayer, O my King and my God.
Psalms 5:4For not a God desiring wickedness [art] Thou, Evil inhabiteth Thee not.For you are not a God who takes pleasure in wrongdoing; there is no evil with you.For thou art not a ùGod that hath pleasure in wickedness; evil shall not sojourn with thee. For to thee will I pray: O Lord, in the morning thou shalt hear my voice.
Psalms 5:5The boastful station not themselves before Thine eyes: Thou hast hated all working iniquity. The sons of pride have no place before you; you are a hater of all workers of evil.Insolent fools shall not stand before thine eyes; thou hatest all workers of iniquity. In the morning I will stand before thee, and will see: because thou art not a God that willest iniquity.
Psalms 5:6Thou destroyest those speaking lies, A man of blood and deceit Jehovah doth abominate. You will send destruction on those whose words are false; the cruel man and the man of deceit are hated by the Lord.Thou wilt destroy them that speak lies: Jehovah abhorreth a man of blood and deceit.Neither shall the wicked dwell near thee: nor shall the unjust abide before thy eyes.
Psalms 5:7And I, in the abundance of Thy kindness, I enter Thy house, I bow myself toward Thy holy temple in Thy fear. But as for me, I will come into your house, in the full measure of your mercy; and in your fear I will give worship, turning my eyes to your holy Temple. But as for me, in the greatness of thy loving-kindness will I enter thy house; I will bow down toward the temple of thy holiness in thy fear.Thou hatest all the workers of iniquity: Thou wilt destroy all that speak a lie. The bloody and the deceitful man the Lord will abhor.
Psalms 5:8O Jehovah, lead me in Thy righteousness, Because of those observing me, Make straight before me Thy way,Be my guide, O Lord, in the ways of your righteousness, because of those who are against me; make your way straight before my face.Lead me, Jehovah, in thy righteousness, because of my foes; make thy way plain before me.But as for me in the multitude of thy mercy, I will come into thy house; I will worship towards thy holy temple, in thy fear.
Psalms 5:9For there is no stability in their mouth. Their heart [is] mischiefs, An open grave [is] their throat, Their tongue they make smooth. For no faith may be put in their words; their inner part is nothing but evil; their throat is like an open place for the dead; smooth are the words of their tongues. For there is no certainty in their mouth; their inward part is perversion, their throat is an open sepulchre; they flatter with their tongue.Conduct me, O Lord, in thy justice: because of my enemies, direct my way in thy sight.
Psalms 5:10Declare them guilty, O God, Let them fall from their own counsels, In the abundance of their transgressions Drive them away, Because they have rebelled against Thee.Send them to destruction, O Lord; let their evil designs be the cause of their fall; let them be forced out by all their sins; because they have gone against your authority.Bring guilt upon them, O God; let them fall by their own counsels: drive them out in the multitude of their transgressions, for they have rebelled against thee.for there is no truth in their mouth; their heart is vain.
Psalms 5:11And rejoice do all trusting in Thee, To the age they sing, and Thou coverest them over, And those loving Thy name exult in Thee. But let all those who put their faith in you be glad with cries of joy at all times, and let all the lovers of your name be glad in you.And all that trust in thee shall rejoice: for ever shall they shout joyously, and thou wilt protect them; and they that love thy name shall exult in thee.Their throat is an open sepulchre: they dealt deceitfully with their tongues: judge them, O God. Let them fall from their devices: according to the multitude of their wickedness cast them out: for they have provoked thee, O Lord.
Psalms 5:12For Thou blessest the righteous, O Jehovah, As a buckler with favour dost compass him!For you, Lord, will send a blessing on the upright man; your grace will be round him, and you will be his strength. For thou, Jehovah, wilt bless the righteous [man]; with favour wilt thou surround him as [with] a shield. But let all them be glad that hope in thee: they shall rejoice for ever, and thou shalt dwell in them. And all they that love thy name shall glory in thee:
