Psalms 7:1`The Erring One,` by David, that he sung to Jehovah concerning the words of Cush a Benjamite. O Jehovah, my God, in Thee I have trusted, Save me from all my pursuers, and deliver me.<Shiggaion of David; a song which he made to the Lord, about the words of Cush the Benjamite.> O Lord my God, I put my faith in you; take me out of the hands of him who is cruel to me, and make me free;{Shiggaion of David, which he sang to Jehovah, concerning the words of Cush the Benjaminite.} Jehovah my God, in thee have I trusted: save me from all my pursuers, and deliver me;The psalm of David which he sung to the Lord for the words of Chusi the son of Jemini. [2 Kings 16.]
Psalms 7:2Lest he tear as a lion my soul, Rending, and there is no deliverer.So that he may not come rushing on my soul like a lion, wounding it, while there is no one to be my saviour.Lest he tear my soul like a lion, crushing it while there is no deliverer.O Lord my God, in thee have I put my trust: save me from all them that persecute me, and deliver me.
Psalms 7:3O Jehovah, my God, if I have done this, If there is iniquity in my hands,O Lord my God, if I have done this; if my hands have done any wrong;Jehovah my God, if I have done this, if there be iniquity in my hands;Lest at any time he seize upon my soul like a lion, while there is no one to redeem me, nor to save.
Psalms 7:4If I have done my well-wisher evil, And draw mine adversary without cause,If I have given back evil to him who did evil to me, or have taken anything from him who was against me without cause;If I have rewarded evil to him that was at peace with me; (indeed I have freed him that without cause oppressed me;)O Lord my God, if I have done this thing, if there be iniquity in my hands:
Psalms 7:5An enemy pursueth my soul, and overtaketh, And treadeth down to the earth my life, And my honour placeth in the dust. Selah.Let my hater go after my soul and take it; let my life be crushed to the earth, and my honour into the dust. (Selah.)Let the enemy pursue after my soul, and take [it], and let him tread down my life to the earth, and lay my glory in the dust. Selah.If I have rendered to them that repaid me evils, let me deservedly fall empty before my enemies.
Psalms 7:6Rise, O Jehovah, in Thine anger, Be lifted up at the wrath of mine adversaries, And awake Thou for me: Judgment Thou hast commanded:Come up, Lord, in your wrath; be lifted up against my haters; be awake, my God, give orders for the judging.Arise, Jehovah, in thine anger; lift thyself up against the raging of mine oppressors, and awake for me: thou hast commanded judgment.Let the enemy pursue my soul, and take it, and tread down my life on the earth, and bring down my glory to the dust.
Psalms 7:7And a company of peoples compass Thee, And over it on high turn Thou back,The meeting of the nations will be round you; take your seat, then, over them, on high.And the assembly of the peoples shall encompass thee; and for their sakes return thou on high.Rise up, O Lord, in thy anger: and be thou exalted in the borders of my enemies. And arise, O Lord my God, in the precept which thou hast commanded:
Psalms 7:8Jehovah doth judge the peoples; Judge me, O Jehovah, According to my righteousness, And according to mine integrity on me,The Lord will be judge of the peoples; give a decision for me, O Lord, because of my righteousness, and let my virtue have its reward.Jehovah shall minister judgment to the peoples. Judge me, Jehovah, according to my righteousness, and according to mine integrity which is in me.and a congregation of people shall surround thee. And for their sakes return thou on high.
Psalms 7:9Let, I pray Thee be ended the evil of the wicked, And establish Thou the righteous, And a trier of hearts and reins is the righteous God.O let the evil of the evil-doer come to an end, but give strength to the upright: for men's minds and hearts are tested by the God of righteousness.Oh let the wrong of the wicked come to an end, and establish thou the righteous [man]; even thou that triest the hearts and reins, the righteous God.The Lord judgeth the people. Judge me, O Lord, according to my justice, and according to my innocence in me.
Psalms 7:10My shield [is] on God, Saviour of the upright in heart!God, who is the saviour of the upright in heart, is my breastplate.My shield is with God, who saveth the upright in heart.The wickedness of sinners shall be brought to nought: and thou shalt direct the just: the searcher of hearts and reins is God.
Psalms 7:11God [is] a righteous judge, And He is not angry at all times.God is the judge of the upright, and is angry with the evil-doers every day.God is a righteous judge, and a ùGod who is indignant all the day.Just is my help from the Lord: who saveth the upright of heart.
Psalms 7:12If [one] turn not, His sword he sharpeneth, His bow he hath trodden He prepareth it,If a man is not turned from his evil, he will make his sword sharp; his bow is bent and ready.If one turn not, he will sharpen his sword; he hath bent his bow and made it ready,God is a just judge, strong and patient: is he angry every day?
Psalms 7:13Yea, for him He hath prepared Instruments of death, His arrows for burning pursuers He maketh.He has made ready for him the instruments of death; he makes his arrows flames of fire.And he hath prepared for him instruments of death; his arrows hath he made burning.Except you will be converted, he will brandish his sword: he hath bent his bow and made it ready.
Psalms 7:14Lo, he travaileth [with] iniquity, And he hath conceived perverseness, And hath brought forth falsehood.That man is a worker of evil; the seed of wrongdoing has given birth to deceit.Behold, he travaileth with iniquity, yea, he hath conceived mischief, and brought forth falsehood:And in it he hath prepared the instruments of death, he hath made ready his arrows for them that burn.
Psalms 7:15A pit he hath prepared, and he diggeth it, And he falleth into a ditch he maketh.He has made a hole deep in the earth, and is falling into the hole which he has madeHe digged a pit, and hollowed it out, and is fallen into the hole that he made.Behold he hath been in labour with injustice; he hath conceived sorrow, and brought forth iniquity.
Psalms 7:16Return doth his perverseness on his head, And on his crown his violence cometh down.His wrongdoing will come back to him, and his violent behaviour will come down on his head.His mischief shall return upon his own head, and his violence shall come down upon his own pate.He hath opened a pit and dug it; and he is fallen into the hole he made.
Psalms 7:17I thank Jehovah, According to His righteousness, And praise the name of Jehovah Most High!I will give praise to the Lord for his righteousness; I will make a song to the name of the Lord Most High.I will praise Jehovah according to his righteousness, and will sing forth the name of Jehovah the Most High.His sorrow shall be turned on his own head: and his iniquity shall comedown upon his crown.
