| 1st-Corinthians 16:1 | And concerning the collection that [is] for the saints, as I directed to the assemblies of Galatia, so also ye do ye; | Now about the giving of money for the saints, as I gave orders to the churches of Galatia, so do you. | As to the collection for God's people, what I have directed the Churches of Galatia to do, you must do also. | Now concerning the collections that are made for the saints, as I have given order to the churches of Galatia, so do ye also. |
| 1st-Corinthians 16:2 | on every first [day] of the week, let each one of you lay by him, treasuring up whatever he may have prospered, that when I may come then collections may not be made; | On the first day of the week, let every one of you put by him in store, in measure as he has done well in business, so that it may not be necessary to get money together when I come. | On the first day of every week let each of you put on one side and store up at his home whatever gain has been granted to him; so that whenever I come, there may then be no collections going on. | On the first day of the week let every one of you put apart with himself, laying up what it shall well please him; that when I come, the collections be not then to be made. |
| 1st-Corinthians 16:3 | and whenever I may come, whomsoever ye may approve, through letters, these I will send to carry your favour to Jerusalem; | And when I come, I will send the men of your selection with letters to take the money you have got together to Jerusalem. | And when I am with you, whatever brethren you accredit by letter I will send to carry your kind gift to Jerusalem. | And when I shall be with you, whomsoever you shall approve by letters, them will I send to carry your grace to Jerusalem. |
| 1st-Corinthians 16:4 | and if it be meet for me also to go, with me they shall go. | And if it is possible for me to go there, they will go with me. | And if it is worth while for me also to make the journey, they shall go as my companions. | And if it be meet that I also go, they shall go with me. |
| 1st-Corinthians 16:5 | And I will come unto you, when I pass through Macedonia for Macedonia I do pass through | But I will come to you after I have gone through Macedonia, for that is my purpose; | I shall come to you after passing through Macedonia; for my plan will be to pass through Macedonia; | Now I will come to you, when I shall have passed through Macedonia. For I shall pass through Macedonia. |
| 1st-Corinthians 16:6 | and with you, it may be, I will abide, or even winter, that ye may send me forward whithersoever I go, | But I may be with you for a time, or even for the winter, so that you may see me on my way, wherever I go. | and I shall make some stay with you perhaps, or even spend the winter with you, in order that you may help me forward, whichever way I travel. | And with you perhaps I shall abide, or even spend the winter: that you may bring me on my way whithersoever I shall go. |
| 1st-Corinthians 16:7 | for I do not wish to see you now in the passing, but I hope to remain a certain time with you, if the Lord may permit; | For it is not my desire to see you now, on my way; because it is my hope to be with you for some time, if that is the Lord's pleasure. | For I do not wish to see you on this occasion merely in passing; but if the Lord permits, I hope to remain some time with you. | For I will not see you now by the way, for I trust that I shall abide with you some time, if the Lord permit. |
| 1st-Corinthians 16:8 | and I will remain in Ephesus till the Pentecost, | But I will be at Ephesus till Pentecost; | I shall remain in Ephesus, however, until the time of the Harvest Festival, | But I will tarry at Ephesus until Pentecost. |
| 1st-Corinthians 16:9 | for a door to me hath been opened great and effectual and withstanders [are] many. | For a great and important door there is open to me, and there are a number of people against me. | for a wide door stands open before me which demands great efforts, and we have many opponents. | For a great door and evident is opened unto me: and many adversaries. |
| 1st-Corinthians 16:10 | And if Timotheus may come, see that he may become without fear with you, for the work of the Lord he doth work, even as I, | Now if Timothy comes, see that he is with you without fear; because he is doing the Lord's work, even as I am: | If Timothy pays you a visit, see that he is free from fear in his relations with you; for he is engaged in the Master's work just as I am. | Now if Timothy come, see that he be with you without fear, for he worketh the work of the Lord, as I also do. |
| 1st-Corinthians 16:11 | no one, then, may despise him; and send ye him forward in peace, that he may come to me, for I expect him with the brethren; | See then that he has the honour which is right. But send him on his way in peace, so that he may come to me: for I am looking for him with the brothers. | Therefore let no one slight him, but all of you should help him forward in peace to join me; for I am waiting for him and others of the brethren. | Let no man therefore despise him, but conduct ye him on his way in peace: that he may come to me. For I look for him with the breatheren. |
| 1st-Corinthians 16:12 | and concerning Apollos our brother, much I did entreat him that he may come unto you with the brethren, and it was not at all [his] will that he may come now, and he will come when he may find convenient. | But as for Apollos, the brother, I had a great desire for him to come to you with the brothers, but it was not his pleasure to come now; but he will come when he has a chance. | As for our brother Apollos, I have repeatedly urged him to accompany the brethren who are coming to you: but he is quite resolved not to do so at present. He will come, however, when he has a good opportunity. | And touching our brother Apollo, I give you to understand, that I much entreated him to come unto you with the breatheren: and indeed it was not his will at all to come at this time. But he will come when he shall have leisure. |
| 1st-Corinthians 16:13 | Watch ye, stand in the faith; be men, be strong; | Be on the watch, unmoved in the faith, and be strong like men. | Be on the alert; stand firm in the faith; acquit yourselves like men; be strong. | Watch ye, stand fast in the faith,do manfully, and be strengthened. |
| 1st-Corinthians 16:14 | let all your things be done in love. | Let all you do be done in love. | Let all that you do be done from motives of love. | Let all your things be done in charity. |
| 1st-Corinthians 16:15 | And I entreat you, brethren, ye have known the household of Stephanas, that it is the first-fruit of Achaia, and to the ministration to the saints they did set themselves | Now I make my request to you, my brothers, for you have knowledge that the house of Stephanas is the first-fruits of Achaia, and that they have made themselves the servants of the saints, | And I beseech you, brethren you know the household of Stephanas, how they were the earliest Greek converts to Christ, and have devoted themselves to the service of God's people | And I beseech you, brethren, you know the house of Stephanas, and of Fortunatus, and of Achaicus, that they are the firstfruits of Achaia, and have dedicated themselves to the ministry of the saints: |
| 1st-Corinthians 16:16 | that ye also be subject to such, and to every one who is working with [us] and labouring; | That you put yourselves under such, and under everyone who is helping the Lord's work. | I beseech you, on your part, to show deference to such men, and to every one who participates in their work and toils hard. | That you also be subject to such, and to every one that worketh with us, and laboureth. |
| 1st-Corinthians 16:17 | and I rejoice over the presence of Stephanas, and Fortunatus, and Achaicus, because the lack of you did these fill up; | And I am glad of the coming of Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus: for they have done what was needed to make your work complete. | It is a joy to me that Stephanas, Fortunatus and Achaicus have now arrived, because what was wanting so far as you are concerned they have supplied. | And I rejoice in the presence of Stephanas, and Fortunatus, and Achaicus, because that which was wanting on your part, they have supplied. |
| 1st-Corinthians 16:18 | for they did refresh my spirit and yours; acknowledge ye, therefore, those who [are] such. | For they gave comfort to my spirit and to yours: for which cause give respect to such people. | They have refreshed my spirit, and yours. Acknowledge such men as these. | For they have refreshed both my spirit and yours. Know them, therefore, that are such. |
| 1st-Corinthians 16:19 | Salute you do the assemblies of Asia; salute you much in the Lord do Aquilas and Priscilla, with the assembly in their house; | The churches of Asia send their love to you. So do Aquila and Prisca, with the church which is in their house. | The Churches in the province of Asia send you greetings; and Aquila and Prisca, in hearty Christian love, do the same, together with the Church which meets at their house. | The churches of Asia salute you. Aquila and Priscilla salute you much in the Lord, with the church that is in their house, with whom I also lodge. |
| 1st-Corinthians 16:20 | salute you do all the brethren; salute ye one another in an holy kiss. | All the brothers send their love to you. Give one another a holy kiss. | The brethren all send greetings to you. Greet one another with a holy kiss. | All the brethren salute you. Salute one another with a holy kiss. |
| 1st-Corinthians 16:21 | The salutation of [me] Paul with my hand; | I, Paul, send you these words of love in my writing. | The final greeting of me Paul with my own hand. | The salutation of me Paul, with my own hand. |
| 1st-Corinthians 16:22 | if any one doth not love the Lord Jesus Christ let him be anathema! The Lord hath come! | If any man has not love for the Lord, let him be cursed. Maran atha (our Lord comes). | If any one is destitute of love to the Lord, let him be accursed. OUR LORD IS COMING. | If any man love not our Lord Jesus Christ, let him be anathema, maranatha. |
| 1st-Corinthians 16:23 | The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ [is] with you; | The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. | The grace of the Lord Jesus be with you. | The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. |
| 1st-Corinthians 16:24 | my love [is] with you all in Christ Jesus. Amen. | My love be with you all in Christ Jesus. So be it. | My love in Christ Jesus be with you all. | My charity be with you all in Christ Jesus. Amen. |
