| Psalms 83:1 | A Song, A Psalm of Asaph. O God, let there be no silence to Thee, Be not silent, nor be quiet, O God. | <A Song. A Psalm. Of Asaph.> O God, do not keep quiet: let your lips be open and take no rest, O God. | | Unto the end, for the winepresses, a psalm for the sons of Core. |
| Psalms 83:2 | For, lo, Thine enemies do roar, And those hating Thee have lifted up the head, | For see! those who make war on you are out of control; your haters are lifting up their heads. | | How lovely are thy tabernacles, O Lord of host! |
| Psalms 83:3 | Against Thy people they take crafty counsel, And consult against Thy hidden ones. | They have made wise designs against your people, talking together against those whom you keep in a secret place. | | my soul longeth and fainteth for the courts of the Lord. My heart and my flesh have rejoiced in the living God. |
| Psalms 83:4 | They have said, `Come, And we cut them off from [being] a nation, And the name of Israel is not remembered any more.` | They have said, Come, let us put an end to them as a nation; so that the name of Israel may go out of man's memory. | | For the sparrow hath found herself a house, and the turtle a nest for herself where she may lay her young ones: Thy altars, O Lord of hosts, my king and my God. |
| Psalms 83:5 | For they consulted in heart together, Against Thee a covenant they make, | For they have all come to an agreement; they are all joined together against you: | | Blessed are they that dwell in thy house, O Lord: they shall praise thee for ever and ever. |
| Psalms 83:6 | Tents of Edom, and Ishmaelites, Moab, and the Hagarenes, | The tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites; Moab and the Hagarites; | | Blessed is the man whose help is from thee: in his heart he hath disposed to ascend by steps, |
| Psalms 83:7 | Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek, Philistia with inhabitants of Tyre, | Gebal and Ammon and Amalek; the Philistines and the people of Tyre; | | in the vale of tears, in the place which be hath set. |
| Psalms 83:8 | Asshur also is joined with them, They have been an arm to sons of Lot. Selah. | Assur is joined with them; they have become the support of the children of Lot. (Selah.) | | For the lawgiver shall give a blessing, they shall go from virtue to virtue: the God of gods shall be seen in Sion. |

| Psalms 83:11 | Make their nobles as Oreb and as Zeeb, And as Zebah and Zalmunna all their princes, | Make their chiefs like Oreb and Zeeb; and all their rulers like Zebah and Zalmunna: | | For better is one day in thy courts above thousands. I have chosen to be an abject in the house of my God, rather than to dwell in the tabernacles of sinners. |
| Psalms 83:12 | Who have said, `Let us occupy for ourselves The comely places of God.` | Who have said, Let us take for our heritage the resting-place of God. | | For God loveth mercy and truth: the Lord will give grace and glory. |
| Psalms 83:13 | O my God, make them as a rolling thing, As stubble before wind. | O my God, make them like the rolling dust; like dry stems before the wind. | | He will not deprive of good things them that walk in innocence : O Lord of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee. |

| Psalms 83:15 | So dost Thou pursue them with Thy whirlwind, And with Thy hurricane troublest them. | So go after them with your strong wind, and let them be full of fear because of your storm. | | |
| Psalms 83:16 | Fill their faces [with] shame, And they seek Thy name, O Jehovah. | Let their faces be full of shame; so that they may give honour to your name, O Lord. | | |
| Psalms 83:17 | They are ashamed and troubled for ever, Yea, they are confounded and lost. | Let them be overcome and troubled for ever; let them be put to shame and come to destruction; | | |
| Psalms 83:18 | And they know that Thou (Thy name [is] Jehovah by Thyself,) [Art] the Most High over all the earth! | So that men may see that you only, whose name is Yahweh, are Most High over all the earth. | | |
