| Psalms 20:1 | To the Overseer. A Psalm of David. Jehovah doth answer thee, In a day of adversity, The name of the God of Jacob doth set thee on high, | <To the chief music-maker. A Psalm. Of David.> May the Lord give ear to you in the day of trouble; may you be placed on high by the name of the God of Jacob; | May Yahweh answer you in the day of trouble. May the name of the God of Jacob set you up on high, | {To the chief Musician. A Psalm of David.} Jehovah answer thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob protect thee; |
| Psalms 20:2 | He doth send thy help from the sanctuary, And from Zion doth support thee, | May he send you help from the holy place, and give you strength from Zion; | Send you help from the sanctuary, Grant you support from Zion, | May he send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion; |
| Psalms 20:3 | He doth remember all thy presents, And thy burnt-offering doth reduce to ashes. Selah. | May he keep all your offerings in mind, and be pleased with the fat of your burned offerings; (Selah.) | Remember all your offerings, And accept your burnt-sacrifice.
