| Psalms 23:1 | A Psalm of David. Jehovah [is] my shepherd, I do not lack, | <A Psalm. Of David.> The Lord takes care of me as his sheep; I will not be without any good thing. | Yahweh is my shepherd: I shall lack nothing. | On the first day of the week, a psalm for David. The earth is the Lord's and the fulness thereof: the world, and all they that dwell therein. |
| Psalms 23:2 | In pastures of tender grass He causeth me to lie down, By quiet waters He doth lead me. | He makes a resting-place for me in the green fields: he is my guide by the quiet waters. | He makes me to lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. | For he hath founded it upon the seas; and hath prepared it upon the rivers. |
| Psalms 23:3 | My soul He refresheth, He leadeth me in paths of righteousness, For His name`s sake, | He gives new life to my soul: he is my guide in the ways of righteousness because of his name. | He restores my soul. He guides me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. | Who shall ascend into the mountain of the Lord: or who shall stand in his holy place? |
| Psalms 23:4 | Also when I walk in a valley of death-shade, I fear no evil, for Thou [art] with me, Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me. | Yes, though I go through the valley of deep shade, I will have no fear of evil; for you are with me, your rod and your support are my comfort. | Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me. Your rod and your staff, they comfort me. | The innocent in hands, and clean of heart, who hath not taken his soul in vain, nor sworn deceitfully to his neighbour. |
| Psalms 23:5 | Thou arrangest before me a table, Over-against my adversaries, Thou hast anointed with oil my head, My cup is full! | You make ready a table for me in front of my haters: you put oil on my head; my cup is overflowing. | You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You have anointed my head with oil. My cup runs over. | He shall receive a blessing from the Lord, and mercy from God his Saviour. |
| Psalms 23:6 | Only goodness and kindness pursue me, All the days of my life, And my dwelling [is] in the house of Jehovah, For a length of days! | Truly, blessing and mercy will be with me all the days of my life; and I will have a place in the house of the Lord all my days. | Surely goodness and lovingkindness shall follow me all the days of my life, And I shall dwell in Yahweh's house forever.
