| Psalms 6:1 | To the Overseer with stringed instruments, on the octave. A Psalm of David. O Jehovah, in Thine anger reprove me not, Nor in Thy fury chastise me. | <To the chief music-maker on corded instruments, on the Sheminith. A Psalm. Of David.> O Lord, do not be bitter with me in your wrath; do not send punishment on me in the heat of your passion. | Yahweh, don't rebuke me in your anger, Neither discipline me in your wrath. | Unto the end, in verses, a psalm for David, for the octave. |
| Psalms 6:2 | Favour me, O Jehovah, for I [am] weak, Heal me, O Jehovah, For troubled have been my bones, | Have mercy on me, O Lord, for I am wasted away: make me well, for even my bones are troubled. | Have mercy on me, Yahweh, for I am faint. Yahweh, heal me, for my bones are troubled. | O Lord, rebuke me not in thy indignation, nor chastise me in thy wrath. |
| Psalms 6:3 | And my soul hath been troubled greatly, And Thou, O Jehovah, till when? | My soul is in bitter trouble; and you, O Lord, how long? | My soul is also in great anguish. But you, Yahweh how long? | Have mercy on me, O Lord, for I am weak: heal me, O Lord, for my bones are troubled. |

Deliver my soul, And save me for your lovingkindness' sake. | And my soul is troubled exceedingly: but thou, O Lord, how long? |

In Sheol, who shall give you thanks? | Turn to me, O Lord, and deliver my soul: O save me for thy mercy's sake. |
| Psalms 6:6 | I have been weary with my sighing, I meditate through all the night [on] my bed, With my tear my couch I waste. | The voice of my sorrow is a weariness to me; all the night I make my bed wet with weeping; it is watered by the drops flowing from my eyes. | I am weary with my groaning; Every night I flood my bed; I drench my couch with my tears. | For there is no one in death, that is mindful of thee: and who shall confess to thee in hell? |
| Psalms 6:7 | Old from provocation is mine eye, It is old because of all mine adversaries, | My eyes are wasting away with trouble; they are becoming old because of all those who are against me. | My eye wastes away because of grief; It grows old because of all my adversaries. | I have laboured in my groanings, every night I will wash my bed: I will water my couch with my tears. |
| Psalms 6:8 | Turn from me all ye workers of iniquity, For Jehovah heard the voice of my weeping, | Go from me, all you workers of evil; for the Lord has given ear to the voice of my weeping. | Depart from me, all you workers of iniquity, For Yahweh has heard the voice of my weeping. | My eye is troubled through indignation: I have grown old amongst all my enemies. |
| Psalms 6:9 | Jehovah hath heard my supplication, Jehovah my prayer receiveth. | The Lord has given ear to my request; the Lord has let my prayer come before him. | Yahweh has heard my supplication. Yahweh will receive my prayer. | Depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity: for the Lord hath heard the voice of my weeping. |
| Psalms 6:10 | Ashamed and troubled greatly are all mine enemies, They turn back ashamed [in] a moment! | Let all those who are against me be shamed and deeply troubled; let them be turned back and suddenly put to shame. | May all my enemies be ashamed and dismayed. They shall turn back, they shall be disgraced suddenly.
