| Psalms 8:1 | To the Overseer, `On the Gittith.` A Psalm of David. Jehovah, our Lord, How honourable Thy name in all the earth! Who settest thine honour on the heavens. | <To the chief music-maker on the Gittith. A Psalm. Of David.> O Lord, our Lord, whose glory is higher than the heavens, how noble is your name in all the earth! | Yahweh, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth, Who has set your glory above the heavens! | Unto the end, for the presses: a psalm of David. |
| Psalms 8:2 | From the mouths of infants and sucklings Thou hast founded strength, Because of Thine adversaries, To still an enemy and a self-avenger. | You have made clear your strength even out of the mouths of babies at the breast, because of those who are against you; so that you may put to shame the cruel and violent man. | From the lips of babes and infants you have established strength, Because of your adversaries, that you might silence the enemy and the avenger. | O Lord our Lord, how admirable is thy name in the whole earth! For thy magnificence is elevated above the heavens. |
