| Psalms 84:1 | To the Overseer. `On the Gittith By sons of Korah.` A Psalm. How beloved Thy tabernacles, Jehovah of Hosts! | <To the chief music-maker; put to the Gittith A Psalm. Of the sons of Korah.> How dear are your tents, O Lord of armies! | How lovely are your dwellings, Yahweh of Hosts! | Unto the end, for the sons of Core, a psalm. |
| Psalms 84:2 | My soul desired, yea, it hath also been consumed, For the courts of Jehovah, My heart and my flesh cry aloud unto the living God, | The passion of my soul's desire is for the house of the Lord; my heart and my flesh are crying out for the living God. | My soul longs, and even faints for the courts of Yahweh. My heart and my flesh cry out for the living God. | Lord, thou hast blessed thy land: thou hast turned away the captivity of Jacob. |
| Psalms 84:3 | (Even a sparrow hath found a house, And a swallow a nest for herself, Where she hath placed her brood,) Thine altars, O Jehovah of Hosts, My king and my God. | The little birds have places for themselves, where they may put their young, even your altars, O Lord of armies, my King and my God. | Yes, the sparrow has found a home, And the swallow a nest for herself, where she may have her young, Near your altars, Yahweh of Hosts, My King, and my God. | Thou hast forgiven the iniquity of thy people: thou hast covered all their sins. |
| Psalms 84:4 | O the happiness of those inhabiting Thy house, Yet do they praise Thee. Selah. | Happy are they whose resting-place is in your house: they will still be praising you. (Selah.) | Blessed are those who dwell in your house. They are always praising you. Selah. | Thou hast mitigated all thy anger: thou best turned away from the wrath of thy indignation. |

Yes, the autumn rain covers it with blessings. | Wilt thou be angry with us for ever: or wilt thou extend thy wrath from generation to generation? |

I have chosen rather to be at the threshold, In the house of my God, Than to dwell in tents of wickedness. | For a day in your house is better than a thousand. It is better to be a door-keeper in the house of my God, than to be living in the tents of sin. | For a day in your courts is better than a thousand. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, Than to dwell in the tents of wickedness. | Surely his salvation is near to them that fear him: that glory may dwell in our land. |
| Psalms 84:11 | For a sun and a shield [is] Jehovah God, Grace and honour doth Jehovah give. He withholdeth not good To those walking in uprightness. | The Lord God is our sun and our strength: the Lord will give grace and glory: he will not keep back any good thing from those whose ways are upright. | For Yahweh God is a sun and a shield. Yahweh will give grace and glory. He withholds no good thing from those who walk blamelessly. | Mercy and truth have met each other: justice and peace have kissed. |
