Psalms 92:1A Psalm. A Song for the sabbath-day. Good to give thanks to Jehovah, And to sing praises to Thy name, O Most High,<A Psalm. A Song for the Sabbath.> It is a good thing to give praise to the Lord, and to make melody to your name, O Most High;It is a good thing to give thanks to Yahweh, To sing praises to your name, Most High;The Lord hath reigned, he is clothed with beauty: the Lord is clothed with strength, and hath girded himself. For he hath established the world which shall not be moved.
Psalms 92:2To declare in the morning Thy kindness, And Thy faithfulness in the nights.To make clear your mercy in the morning, and your unchanging faith every night;To proclaim your lovingkindness in the morning, And your faithfulness every night,Thy throne is prepared from of old: thou art from everlasting.
Psalms 92:3On ten strings and on psaltery, On higgaion, with harp.On a ten-corded instrument, and on an instrument of music with a quiet sound.With the ten-stringed lute, with the harp, And with the melody of the lyre.The floods have lifted up, O Lord: the floods have lifted up their voice. The floods have lifted up their waves,
Psalms 92:4For Thou hast caused me to rejoice, O Jehovah, in Thy work, Concerning the works of Thy hands I sing.For you, O Lord, have made me glad through your work; I will have joy in the works of your hands.For you, Yahweh, have made me glad through your work. I will triumph in the works of your hands.with the noise of many waters. Wonderful are the surges of the sea: wonderful is the Lord on high.
Psalms 92:5How great have been Thy works, O Jehovah, Very deep have been Thy thoughts.O Lord, how great are your works! and your thoughts are very deep.How great are your works, Yahweh! Your thoughts are very deep.Thy testimonies are become exceedingly credible: holiness becometh thy house, O Lord, unto length of days.
Psalms 92:6A brutish man doth not know, And a fool understandeth not this;A man without sense has no knowledge of this; and a foolish man may not take it in.A senseless man doesn't know, Neither does a fool understand this:
Psalms 92:7When the wicked flourish as a herb, And blossom do all workers of iniquity For their being destroyed for ever and ever!When the sinners come up like the grass, and all the workers of evil do well for themselves, it is so that their end may be eternal destruction.Though the wicked spring up as the grass, And all the evil-doers flourish, They will be destroyed forever.
Psalms 92:8And Thou [art] high to the age, O Jehovah.But you, O Lord, are on high for ever.But you, Yahweh, are on high forevermore.
Psalms 92:9For, lo, Thine enemies, O Jehovah, For, lo, Thine enemies, do perish, Separate themselves do all workers of iniquity.For see! your haters, O Lord, will be put to death; all the workers of evil will be put to flight;For, behold, your enemies, Yahweh, For, behold, your enemies shall perish. All the evil-doers will be scattered.
Psalms 92:10And Thou exaltest as a reem my horn, I have been anointed with fresh oil.But my horn is lifted up like the horn of the ox: the best oil is flowing on my head.But you have exalted my horn like that of the wild ox. I am anointed with fresh oil.
Psalms 92:11And mine eye looketh on mine enemies, Of those rising up against me, The evil doers, do mine ears hear.My eyes have seen trouble come on my haters; my ears have news of the fate of the evil-doers who have come up against me.My eye has also seen my enemies, My ears have heard of the evil-doers who rise up against me.
Psalms 92:12The righteous as a palm-tree flourisheth, As a cedar in Lebanon he groweth.The good man will be like a tall tree in his strength; his growth will be as the wide-stretching trees of Lebanon.The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree. He will grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
Psalms 92:13Those planted in the house of Jehovah, In the courts of our God do flourish.Those who are planted in the house of the Lord will come up tall and strong in his gardens.They are planted in Yahweh's house. They will flourish in our God's courts.
Psalms 92:14Still they bring forth in old age, Fat and flourishing are they,They will give fruit even when they are old; they will be fertile and full of growth;They will still bring forth fruit in old age. They will be full of sap and green,
Psalms 92:15To declare that upright [is] Jehovah my rock, And there is no perverseness in Him!For a sign that the Lord is upright; he is my Rock, there is no deceit in him.To show that Yahweh is upright. He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him. Psalm 93
