| Psalms 89:1 | An instruction, by Ethan the Ezrahite. Of the kind acts of Jehovah, to the age I sing, To all generations I make known Thy faithfulness with my mouth, | <Maschil. Of Ethan the Ezrahite.> My song will be of the mercies of the Lord for ever: with my mouth will I make his faith clear to all generations. | I will sing of the lovingkindness of Yahweh forever. With my mouth, I will make known your faithfulness to all generations. | I will sing of the mercies of the LORD for ever: with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations. |
| Psalms 89:2 | For I said, `To the age is kindness built, The heavens! Thou dost establish Thy faithfulness in them.` | For you have said, Mercy will be made strong for ever; my faith will be unchanging in the heavens. | I indeed declare, "Love stands firm forever. You established the heavens. Your faithfulness is in them." | For I have said, Mercy shall be built up for ever: thy faithfulness shalt thou establish in the very heavens. |

Who among the sons of the heavenly beings is like Yahweh, | For who in the heaven can be compared unto the LORD? who among the sons of the mighty can be likened unto the LORD? |
| Psalms 89:7 | God is very terrible, In the secret counsel of His holy ones, And fearful over all surrounding Him. | God is greatly to be feared among the saints, and to be honoured over all those who are about him. | A very awesome God in the council of the holy ones, To be feared above all those who are around him? | God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be had in reverence of all them that are about him. |

| Psalms 89:9 | Thou [art] ruler over the pride of the sea, In the lifting up of its billows Thou dost restrain them. | You have rule over the sea in storm; when its waves are troubled, you make them calm. | You rule the pride of the sea. When its waves rise up, you calm them. | Thou rulest the raging of the sea: when the waves thereof arise, thou stillest them. |

Lovingkindness and truth go before your face. | Justice and judgment are the habitation of thy throne: mercy and truth shall go before thy face. |
| Psalms 89:15 | O the happiness of the people knowing the shout, O Jehovah, in the light of Thy face they walk habitually. | Happy are the people who have knowledge of the holy cry: the light of your face, O Lord, will be shining on their way. | Blessed are the people who learn to acclaim you. | Psalms 89:22 | An enemy exacteth not upon him, And a son of perverseness afflicteth him not. | The deceit of those who are against him will not overcome him; he will not be troubled by the sons of evil. | No enemy will tax him. No wicked man will oppress him. | The enemy shall not exact upon him; nor the son of wickedness afflict him. |

| Psalms 89:32 | I have looked after with a rod their transgression, And with strokes their iniquity, | Then I will send punishment on them for their sin; my rod will be the reward of their evil-doing. | Then I will punish their sin with the rod, And their iniquity with stripes. | Then will I visit their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes. |
| Psalms 89:33 | And My kindness I break not from him, Nor do I deal falsely in My faithfulness. | But I will not take away my mercy from him, and will not be false to my faith. | But I will not completely take my lovingkindness from him, Nor allow my faithfulness to fail. | Nevertheless my lovingkindness will I not utterly take from him, nor suffer my faithfulness to fail. |

| Psalms 89:36 | His seed is to the age, And his throne [is] as the sun before Me, | His seed will not come to an end for ever; the seat of his kingdom will be like the sun before me. | His seed will endure forever, His throne like the sun before me. | His seed shall endure forever, and his throne as the sun before me. |
| Psalms 89:37 | As the moon it is established to the age, And the witness in the sky is stedfast. Selah. | It will be fixed for ever like the moon; and the witness in heaven is true. | Psalms 89:38 | And Thou, Thou hast cast off, and dost reject, Thou hast shown Thyself wroth With Thine anointed, | But you have put him away in disgust; you have been angry with the king of your selection. | But you have rejected and spurned. You have been angry with your anointed. | But thou hast cast off and abhorred, thou hast been wroth with thine anointed. |
| Psalms 89:39 | Hast rejected the covenant of Thy servant, Thou hast polluted to the earth his crown, | You have made your agreement with your servant of no effect: you have had no respect for his crown, it has come down even to the earth. | You have renounced the covenant of your servant. You have defiled his crown in the dust. | Thou hast made void the covenant of thy servant: thou hast profaned his crown by casting it to the ground. |
