| Psalms 20:1 | To the Overseer. A Psalm of David. Jehovah doth answer thee, In a day of adversity, The name of the God of Jacob doth set thee on high, | {To the chief Musician. A Psalm of David.} Jehovah answer thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob protect thee; | <To the chief music-maker. A Psalm. Of David.> May the Lord give ear to you in the day of trouble; may you be placed on high by the name of the God of Jacob; | To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. The LORD hear thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend thee. |
| Psalms 20:2 | He doth send thy help from the sanctuary, And from Zion doth support thee, | May he send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion; | May he send you help from the holy place, and give you strength from Zion; | Send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion. |
| Psalms 20:3 | He doth remember all thy presents, And thy burnt-offering doth reduce to ashes. Selah. | Remember all thine oblations, and accept thy burnt-offering; Selah. | May he keep all your offerings in mind, and be pleased with the fat of your burned offerings; (Selah.) | Remember all thy offerings, and accept thy burnt-sacrifice. | Psalms 20:4 | He doth give to thee according to thy heart, And all thy counsel doth fulfil. | Grant thee according to thy heart, and fulfil all thy counsels. | May he give you your heart's desire, and put all your purposes into effect. | Grant thee according to thy own heart, and fulfill all thy counsel. |
| Psalms 20:5 | We sing of thy salvation, And in the name of our God set up a banner. Jehovah doth fulfil all thy requests. | We will triumph in thy salvation, and in the name of our God will we set up our banners. Jehovah fulfil all thy petitions! | We will be glad in your salvation, and in the name of our God we will put up our flags: may the Lord give you all your requests. | We will rejoice in thy salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners: the LORD fulfill all thy petitions. |
| Psalms 20:6 | Now I have known That Jehovah hath saved His anointed, He answereth him from His holy heavens, With the saving might of His right hand. | Now know I that Jehovah saveth his anointed; he answereth him from the heavens of his holiness, with the saving strength of his right hand. | Now am I certain that the Lord gives salvation to his king; he will give him an answer from his holy heaven with the strength of salvation in his right hand. | Now I know that the LORD saveth his anointed; he will hear him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand. |
