Psalms 82:1A Psalm of Asaph. God hath stood in the company of God, In the midst God doth judge.{A Psalm of Asaph.} God standeth in the assembly of ùGod, he judgeth among the gods.A canticle of a psalm for Asaph.God standeth in the congregation of God; He judgeth among the gods.
Psalms 82:2Till when do ye judge perversely? And the face of the wicked lift up? Selah.How long will ye judge unrighteously, and accept the person of the wicked? Selah.O God, who shall be like to thee? hold not thy peace, neither be thou still, O God.How long will ye judge unjustly, And respect the persons of the wicked? Selah
Psalms 82:3Judge ye the weak and fatherless, The afflicted and the poor declare righteous.Judge the poor and the fatherless, do justice to the afflicted and the destitute;For lo, thy enemies have made a noise: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head.Judge the poor and fatherless: Do justice to the afflicted and destitute.
Psalms 82:4Let the weak and needy escape, From the hand of the wicked deliver them.Rescue the poor and needy, deliver them out of the hand of the wicked.They have taken a malicious counsel against thy people, and have consulted against thy saints.Rescue the poor and needy: Deliver them out of the hand of the wicked.
Psalms 82:5They knew not, nor do they understand, In darkness they walk habitually, Moved are all the foundations of earth.They know not, neither do they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are moved.They have said: Come and let us destroy them, so that they be not a nation: and let the name of Israel be remembered no more.They know not, neither do they understand; They walk to and fro in darkness: All the foundations of the earth are shaken.
Psalms 82:6I I have said, `Gods ye [are], And sons of the Most High all of you,I have said, Ye are gods, and all of you are children of the Most High;For they have contrived with one consent: they have made a covenant together against thee,I said, Ye are gods, And all of you sons of the Most High.
Psalms 82:7But as man ye die, and as one of the heads ye fall,But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.the tabernacles of the Edomites, and the Ismahelites: Moab, and the Agarens,Nevertheless ye shall die like men, And fall like one of the princes.
