Psalms 19:1To the Overseer. A Psalm of David. The heavens [are] recounting the honour of God, And the work of His hands The expanse [is] declaring.{To the chief Musician. A Psalm of David.} The heavens declare the glory of ùGod; and the expanse sheweth the work of his hands.Unto the end. A psalm for David.<To the chief music-maker. A Psalm. Of David.> The heavens are sounding the glory of God; the arch of the sky makes clear the work of his hands.
Psalms 19:2Day to day uttereth speech, And night to night sheweth knowledge.Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.May the Lord hear thee in the day of tribulation: may the name of the God of Jacob protect thee.Day after day it sends out its word, and night after night it gives knowledge.
Psalms 19:3There is no speech, and there are no words. Their voice hath not been heard. There is no speech and there are no words, yet their voice is heard.May he send thee help from the sanctuary: and defend thee out of Sion. There are no words or language; their voice makes no sound.
Psalms 19:4Into all the earth hath their line gone forth, And to the end of the world their sayings, For the sun He placed a tent in them,Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their language to the extremity of the world. In them hath he set a tent for the sun,May he be mindful of all thy sacrifices: and may thy whole burnt offering be made fat.Their line has gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them has he put a tent for the sun,
Psalms 19:5And he, as a bridegroom, goeth out from his covering, He rejoiceth as a mighty one To run the path. And he is as a bridegroom going forth from his chamber; he rejoiceth as a strong man to run the race.May he give thee according to thy own heart; and confirm all thy counsels.Who is like a newly married man coming from his bride-tent, and is glad like a strong runner starting on his way.
Psalms 19:6From the end of the heavens [is] his going out, And his revolution [is] unto their ends, And nothing is hid from his heat. His going forth is from the end of the heavens, and his circuit unto the ends of it; and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof. We will rejoice in thy salvation; and in the name of our God we shall be exalted. His going out is from the end of the heaven, and his circle to the ends of it; there is nothing which is not open to his heat.
Psalms 19:7The law of Jehovah [is] perfect, refreshing the soul, The testimonies of Jehovah [are] stedfast, Making wise the simple,The law of Jehovah is perfect, restoring the soul; the testimony of Jehovah is sure, making wise the simple; The Lord fulfil all thy petitions: now have I known that the Lord hath saved his anointed. He will hear him from his holy heaven: the salvation of his right hand is in powers. The law of the Lord is good, giving new life to the soul: the witness of the Lord is certain, giving wisdom to the foolish.
Psalms 19:8The precepts of Jehovah [are] upright, Rejoicing the heart, The command of Jehovah [is] pure, enlightening the eyes,The precepts of Jehovah are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of Jehovah is pure, enlightening the eyes; Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will call upon the name of the Lord our God.The orders of the Lord are right, making glad the heart: the rule of the Lord is holy, giving light to the eyes.
Psalms 19:9The fear of Jehovah [is] clean, standing to the age, The judgments of Jehovah [are] true, They have been righteous together. The fear of Jehovah is clean, enduring for ever; the judgments of Jehovah are truth, they are righteous altogether:They are bound, and have fallen; but we are risen, and are set upright. O Lord, save the king: and hear us in the day that we shall call upon thee. The fear of the Lord is clean, and has no end; the decisions of the Lord are true and full of righteousness.
Psalms 19:10They are more desirable than gold, Yea, than much fine gold; and sweeter than honey, Even liquid honey of the comb. They are more precious than gold, yea, than much fine gold; and sweeter than honey and the dropping of the honeycomb.More to be desired are they than gold, even than much shining gold; sweeter than the dropping honey.
Psalms 19:11Also Thy servant is warned by them, `In keeping them [is] a great reward.`Moreover, by them is thy servant enlightened; in keeping them there is great reward.By them is your servant made conscious of danger, and in keeping them there is great reward.
Psalms 19:12Errors! who doth understand? From hidden ones declare me innocent,Who understandeth [his] errors? Purify me from secret [faults].Who has full knowledge of his errors? make me clean from secret evil.
Psalms 19:13Also from presumptuous ones keep back Thy servant, Let them not rule over me, Then am I perfect, And declared innocent of much transgression,Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous [sins]; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be perfect, and I shall be innocent from great transgression.Keep your servant back from sins of pride; let them not have rule over me: then will I be upright and free from great sin.
Psalms 19:14Let the sayings of my mouth, And the meditation of my heart, Be for a pleasing thing before Thee, O Jehovah, my rock, and my redeemer!Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in thy sight, O Jehovah, my rock, and my redeemer.Let the words of my mouth and the thoughts of my heart be pleasing in your eyes, O Lord, my strength and my salvation.
