| Job 27:1 | And Job addeth to lift up his simile, and saith: | And Job continued his parable and said, | Job also added, taking up his parable, and said: | Moreover, Job continued his parable, and said, |
| Job 27:2 | God liveth! He turned aside my judgment, And the Mighty He made my soul bitter. | [As] ùGod liveth, who hath taken away my right, and the Almighty, who hath embittered my soul, | As God liveth, who hath taken away my judgment, and the Almighty, who hath brought my soul to bitterness, | As God liveth, who hath taken away my judgment; and the Almighty who hath afflicted my soul; |
| Job 27:3 | For all the while my breath [is] in me, And the spirit of God in my nostrils. | All the while my breath is in me, and the spirit of +God is in my nostrils, | As long as breath remaineth in me, and the spirit of God in my nostrils, | All the while my breath is in me, and the spirit of God is in my nostrils; |
| Job 27:4 | My lips do not speak perverseness, And my tongue doth not utter deceit. | My lips shall not speak unrighteousness, nor my tongue utter deceit! | My lips shall not speak iniquity, neither shall my tongue contrive lying. | My lips shall not speak wickedness, nor my tongue utter deceit. |
| Job 27:5 | Pollution to me if I justify you, Till I expire I turn not aside mine integrity from me. | Be it far from me that I should justify you; till I die I will not remove my blamelessness from me. | God forbid that I should judge you to be just: till I die I will not depart from my innocence. | Far be it from me that I should justify you: till I die I will not remove my integrity from me. |
| Job 27:6 | On my righteousness I have laid hold, And I do not let it go, My heart doth not reproach me while I live. | My righteousness I hold fast, and will not let it go: my heart reproacheth [me] not one of my days. | My justification, which I have begun to hold, I will not forsake: for my heart doth not reprehend me in all my life. | My righteousness I hold fast, and will not let it go: my heart shall not reproach me so long as I live. |
| Job 27:7 | As the wicked is my enemy, And my withstander as the perverse. | Let mine enemy be as the wicked, and he that riseth up against me as the unrighteous. | Let my enemy be as the ungodly, and my adversary as the wicked one. | Let my enemy be as the wicked, and he that riseth up against me as the unrighteous. |
| Job 27:8 | For what [is] the hope of the profane, When He doth cut off? When God doth cast off his soul? | For what is the hope of the ungodly, when [God] cutteth him off, when +God taketh away his soul? | For what is the hope of the hypocrite if through covetousness he take by violence, and God deliver not his soul? | For what is the hope of the hypocrite, though he hath gained, when God taketh away his soul? |
| Job 27:9 | His cry doth God hear, When distress cometh on him? | Will ùGod hear his cry when distress cometh upon him? | Will God hear his cry, when distress shall come upon him? | Will God hear his cry when trouble cometh upon him? |
| Job 27:10 | On the Mighty doth he delight himself? Call God at all times? | Doth he delight himself in the Almighty? will he at all times call upon +God? | Or can he delight himself in the Almighty, and call upon God at all times? | Will he delight himself in the Almighty? will he always call upon God? |
| Job 27:11 | I shew you by the hand of God, That which [is] with the Mighty I hide not. | I will teach you concerning the hand of ùGod; what is with the Almighty will I not conceal. | I will teach you by the hand of God, what the Almighty hath, and I will not conceal it. | I will teach you by the hand of God: that which is with the Almighty will I not conceal. |
| Job 27:12 | Lo, ye all of you have seen, And why [is] this ye are altogether vain? | Behold, ye yourselves have all seen [it]; and why are ye thus altogether vain? | Behold you all know it, and why do you speak vain things without cause? | Behold, all ye yourselves have seen it; why then are ye thus altogether vain? |
| Job 27:13 | This [is] the portion of wicked man with God, And the inheritance of terrible ones From the Mighty they receive. | This is the portion of the wicked man with ùGod, and the heritage of the violent, which they receive from the Almighty: | This is the portion of a wicked man with God, and the inheritance of the violent, which they shall receive of the Almighty. | This is the portion of a wicked man with God, and the heritage of oppressors, which they shall receive of the Almighty. |
| Job 27:14 | If his sons multiply for them [is] a sword. And his offspring [are] not satisfied [with] bread. | If his children be multiplied, it is for the sword, and his offspring shall not be satisfied with bread; | If his sons be multiplied, they shall be for the sword, and his grandsons shall not be filled with bread. | If his children are multiplied, it is for the sword: and his offspring shall not be satisfied with bread. |
| Job 27:15 | His remnant in death are buried, And his widows do not weep. | Those that remain of him shall be buried by death, and his widows shall not weep. | They that shall remain of him, shall be buried in death, and his widows shall not weep. | Those that remain of him shall be buried in death: and his widows shall not weep. |
| Job 27:16 | If he heap up as dust silver, And as clay prepare clothing, | Though he heap up silver as the dust, and prepare clothing as the clay; | If he shall heap together silver as earth, and prepare raiment as clay, | Though he should heap up silver as the dust, and prepare raiment as the clay? |
| Job 27:17 | He prepareth and the righteous putteth [it] on, And the silver the innocent doth apportion. | He may prepare it, but the just shall put it on; and the innocent shall divide the silver. | He shall prepare indeed, but the just man shall be clothed with it: and the innocent shall divide the silver. | He may prepare it, but the just shall put it on, and the innocent shall divide the silver. |
| Job 27:18 | He hath built as a moth his house, And as a booth a watchman hath made. | He buildeth his house as the moth, and as a booth that a keeper maketh. | He hath built his house as a moth, and as a keeper he hath made a booth. | He buildeth his house as a moth, and as a booth that the keeper maketh. |
| Job 27:19 | Rich he lieth down, and he is not gathered, His eyes he hath opened, and he is not. | He lieth down rich, but will do so no more; he openeth his eyes, and he is not. | The rich man when he shall sleep shall take away nothing with him: he shall open his eyes and find nothing. | The rich man shall lie down, but he shall not be gathered: he openeth his eyes, and he is not. |
| Job 27:20 | Overtake him as waters do terrors, By night stolen him away hath a whirlwind. | Terrors overtake him like waters; a whirlwind stealeth him away in the night. | Poverty like water shall take hold on him, a tempest shall oppress him in the night. | Terrors take hold on him as waters, a tempest stealeth him away in the night. |
| Job 27:21 | Take him up doth an east wind, and he goeth, And it frighteneth him from his place, | The east wind carrieth him away and he is gone; and as a storm it hurleth him out of his place. | A burning wind shall take him up, and carry him away, and as a whirlwind shall snatch him from his place. | The east wind carrieth him away, and he departeth: and as a storm hurleth him out of his place. |
| Job 27:22 | And it casteth at him, and doth not spare, From its hand he diligently fleeth. | And [God] shall cast upon him and not spare: he would fain flee out of his hand. | And he shall cast upon him, and shall not spare: out of his hand he would willingly flee. | For God shall cast upon him, and not spare: he would fain flee out of his hand. |
| Job 27:23 | It clappeth at him its hands, And it hisseth at him from his place. | [Men] shall clap their hands at him, and shall hiss him out of his place. | He shall clasp his hands upon him, and shall hiss at him, beholding his place. | Men shall clap their hands at him, and shall hiss him out of his place. |
