Job 38:2Who [is] this darkening counsel, By words without knowledge?Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge?Who is this that wrappeth up sentences in unskillful words?Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge?
Job 38:3Gird, I pray thee, as a man, thy loins, And I ask thee, and cause thou Me to know.Gird up now thy loins like a man; and I will demand of thee, and inform thou me.Gird up thy loins like a man : I will ask thee, and answer thou me.Gird up now thy loins like a man; for I will demand of thee, and answer thou me.
Job 38:4Where wast thou when I founded earth? Declare, if thou hast known understanding.Where wast thou when I founded the earth? Declare, if thou hast understanding.Where wast thou when I laid up the foundations of the earth ? tell me if thou hast understanding.Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.
Job 38:5Who placed its measures if thou knowest? Or who hath stretched out upon it a line?Who set the measures thereof if thou knowest? or who stretched a line upon it?Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it?Who hath laid the measures of it, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it?
Job 38:6On what have its sockets been sunk? Or who hath cast its corner-stone?Whereupon were the foundations thereof sunken? or who laid its corner-stone,Upon what are its bases grounded? or who laid the corner stone thereof,Upon what are the foundations of it fastened? or who laid its corner stone;
Job 38:7In the singing together of stars of morning, And all sons of God shout for joy,When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?When the morning stars praised me together, and all the sons of God made a joyful melody?When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?
Job 38:8And He shutteth up with doors the sea, In its coming forth, from the womb it goeth out.And who shut up the sea with doors, when it burst forth, issuing out of the womb?Who shut up the sea with doors, when it broke forth as issuing out of the womb :Or who shut up the sea with doors, when it broke forth, as if it had issued out of the womb?
Job 38:9In My making a cloud its clothing, And thick darkness its swaddling band,When I made the cloud its garment, and thick darkness a swaddling band for it;when I made a cloud the garment thereof, and wrapped it in a mist as in swaddling bands?When I made a cloud its garment, and thick darkness a swaddling band for it,
Job 38:10And I measure over it My statute, And place bar and doors,When I cut out for it my boundary, and set bars and doors,I set my bounds around it, and made it bars and doors :And broke up for it my decreed place, and set bars and doors,
Job 38:11And say, `Hitherto come thou, and add not, And a command is placed On the pride of thy billows.`And said, Hitherto shalt thou come and no further, and here shall thy proud waves be stayed?And I said : Hitherto thou shalt come, and shalt go no further, and here thou shalt break thy swelling waves.And said, Hitherto shalt thou come, but no further: and here shall thy proud waves be stayed.
Job 38:12Hast thou commanded morning since thy days? Causest thou the dawn to know its place?Hast thou since thy days commanded the morning? hast thou caused the dawn to know its place,Didst thou since thy birth command the morning, and shew the dawning of the day its place?Hast thou commanded the morning since thy days; and caused the day-spring to know its place;
Job 38:13To take hold on the skirts of the earth, And the wicked are shaken out of it,That it might take hold of the ends of the earth, and the wicked might be shaken out of it?And didst thou hold the extremities of the earth shaking them, and hast thou shaken the ungodly out of it?That it might take hold of the ends of earth, that the wicked might be shaken out of it?
Job 38:14It turneth itself as clay of a seal And they station themselves as clothed.It is changed like the signet-clay; and [all things] stand forth as in a garment:The seal shall be restored as clay, and shall stand as a garment :It is turned as clay to the seal; and they stand as a garment.
Job 38:15And withheld from the wicked is their light, And the arm lifted up is broken.And from the wicked their light is withholden, and the uplifted arm is broken.From the wicked their light shall be taken away, and the high arm shall be broken.And from the wicked their light is withheld, and the high arm shall be broken.
Job 38:16Hast thou come in to springs of the sea? And in searching the deep Hast thou walked up and down?Hast thou entered as far as the springs of the sea? and hast thou walked in the recesses of the deep?Hast thou entered into the depths of the sea, and walked in the lowest parts of the deep?Hast thou entered into the springs of the sea? or hast thou walked in the search of the depth?
Job 38:17Revealed to thee were the gates of death? And the gates of death-shade dost thou see?Have the gates of death been revealed unto thee? and hast thou seen the gates of the shadow of death?Have the gates of death been opened to thee, and hast thou seen the darksome doors?Have the gates of death been opened to thee? or hast thou seen the doors of the shades of death?
Job 38:18Thou hast understanding, Even unto the broad places of earth! Declare if thou hast known it all.Hath thine understanding compassed the breadths of the earth? Declare if thou knowest it all.Hast thou considered the breadth of the earth? tell me, if thou knowest all things?Hast thou perceived the breadth of the earth? declare if thou knowest it all.
Job 38:19Where [is] this the way light dwelleth? And darkness, where [is] this its place?Where is the way to where light dwelleth? and the darkness, where is its place,Where is the way where light dwelleth, and where is the place of darkness :Where is the way where light dwelleth? and as for darkness, where is its place,
Job 38:20That thou dost take it unto its boundary, And that thou dost understand The paths of its house.That thou shouldest take it to its bound, and that thou shouldest know the paths to its house?That thou mayst bring every thing to its own bounds, and understand the paths of the house thereof.That thou shouldest take it to its bound, and that thou shouldest know the paths to its house?
Job 38:21Thou hast known for then thou art born And the number of thy days [are] many!Thou knowest, for thou wast then born, and the number of thy days is great!Didst thou know then that thou shouldst be born ? and didst thou know the number of thy days?Knowest thou it, because thou wast then born? or because the number of thy days is great?
Job 38:22Hast thou come in unto the treasure of snow? Yea, the treasures of hail dost thou see?Hast thou entered into the storehouses of the snow, and hast thou seen the treasuries of the hail,Hast thou entered into the storehouses of the snow, or has thou beheld the treasures of the hail :Hast thou entered into the treasures of the snow? or hast thou seen the treasures of the hail,
Job 38:23That I have kept back for a time of distress, For a day of conflict and battle.Which I have reserved for the time of distress, for the day of battle and war?Which I have prepared for the time of the enemy, against the day of battle and war?Which I have reserved against the time of trouble, against the day of battle and war?
Job 38:24Where [is] this, the way light is apportioned? It scattereth an east wind over the earth.By what way is the light parted, [and] the east wind scattered upon the earth?By what way is the light spread, and heat divided upon the earth?By what way is the light parted, which scattereth the east wind upon the earth?
Job 38:25Who hath divided for the flood a conduit? And a way for the lightning of the voices?Who hath divided a channel for the rain-flood, and a way for the thunder's flash;Who gave a course to violent showers, or a way for noisy thunder :Who hath divided a watercourse for the overflowing of waters, or a way for the lightning of thunder;
Job 38:26To cause [it] to rain on a land no man, A wilderness no man in it.To cause it to rain on the earth, where no one is; on the wilderness wherein there is not a man;That it should rain on the earth without man in the wilderness, where no mortal dwelleth :To cause it to rain on the earth, where no man is; on the wilderness in which there is no man;
Job 38:27To satisfy a desolate and waste place, And to cause to shoot up The produce of the tender grass?To satisfy the desolate and waste [ground], and to cause the sprout of the grass to spring forth?That it should fill the desert and desolate land, and should bring forth green grass?To satisfy the desolate and waste ground; and to cause the bud of the tender herb to spring forth?
Job 38:28Hath the rain a father? Or who hath begotten the drops of dew?Hath the rain a father? or who begetteth the drops of dew?Who is the father of rain ? or who begot the drops of dew?Hath the rain a father? or who hath begotten the drops of the dew?
Job 38:29From whose belly came forth the ice? And the hoar-frost of the heavens, Who hath begotten it?Out of whose womb cometh the ice? and the hoary frost of heaven, who bringeth it forth?Out of whose womb came the ice; and the frost from heaven who hath gendered it?Out of whose womb came the ice? and the hoary frost of heaven, who hath gendered it?
Job 38:30As a stone waters are hidden, And the face of the deep is captured.When the waters lie hidden as in stone, and the face of the deep holdeth fast together.The waters are hardened like a stone, and the surface of the deep is congealed.The waters are hid as with a stone, and the face of the deep is frozen.
Job 38:31Dost thou bind sweet influences of Kimah? Or the attractions of Kesil dost thou open?Canst thou fasten the bands of the Pleiades, or loosen the cords of Orion?Shalt thou be able to join together the shining stars the Pleiades, or canst thou stop the turning about of Arcturus?Canst thou bind the sweet influences of Pleiades, or loose the bands of Orion?
Job 38:32Dost thou bring out Mazzaroth in its season? And Aysh for her sons dost thou comfort?Dost thou bring forth the constellations each in its season? or dost thou guide the Bear with her sons?Canst thou bring forth the day star in its time, and make the evening star to rise upon the children of the earth?Canst thou bring forth Mazzaroth in its season? or canst thou guide Arcturus with its sons?
Job 38:33Hast thou known the statutes of heaven? Or dost thou appoint Its dominion in the earth?Knowest thou the ordinances of the heavens? dost thou determine their rule over the earth?Dost thou know the order of heaven, and canst thou set down the reason thereof on the earth?Knowest thou the ordinances of heaven? canst thou set its dominion on the earth?
Job 38:34Dost thou lift up to the cloud thy voice, And abundance of water doth cover thee?Dost thou lift up thy voice to the clouds, that floods of waters may cover thee?Canst thou lift up thy voice to the clouds, that an abundance of waters may cover thee?Canst thou lift thy voice to the clouds, that abundance of waters may cover thee?
Job 38:35Dost thou send out lightnings, and they go And say unto thee, `Behold us?`Dost thou send forth lightnings that they may go, and say unto thee, Here we are?Canst thou send lightnings, and will they go, and will they return and say to thee : Here we are?Canst thou send lightnings, that they may go, and say to thee, Here we are?
Job 38:36Who hath put in the inward parts wisdom? Job 38:37Who doth number the clouds by wisdom? And the bottles of the heavens, Who doth cause to lie down,Who numbereth the clouds with wisdom? or who poureth out the bottles of the heavens,Who can declare the order of the heavens, or who can make the harmony of heaven to sleep?Who can number the clouds in wisdom? or who can stay the bottles of heaven,
Job 38:38In the hardening of dust into hardness, And clods cleave together?When the dust runneth as into a molten mass, and the clods cleave fast together?When was the dust poured on the earth, and the clods fastened together?When the dust groweth into hardness, and the clods cleave fast together?
Job 38:39Dost thou hunt for a lion prey? And the desire of young lions fulfil?Dost thou hunt the prey for the lioness, and dost thou satisfy the appetite of the young lions,Wilt thou take the prey for the lioness, and satisfy the appetite of her whelps,Wilt thou hunt the prey for the lion? or fill the appetite of the young lions,
Job 38:40When they bow down in dens Abide in a thicket for a covert?When they crouch in [their] dens, [and] abide in the thicket to lie in wait?When they couch in the dens and lie in wait in holes?When they couch in their dens, and abide in the covert to lie in wait?
Job 38:41Who doth prepare for a raven his provision, When his young ones cry unto God? They wander without food.Who provideth for the raven his food, when his young ones cry unto ùGod, [and] they wander for lack of meat?Who provideth food for the raven, when her young ones cry to God, wandering about, because they have no meat?Who provideth for the raven his food? when his young ones cry to God, they wander for want of food.
