| Song-of-Solomon 1:1 | The Song of Songs, that [is] Solomon`s. | The song of songs, which is Solomon's. | Let him kiss me with the kiss of his mouth: for thy breasts are better than wine, | The song of songs, which is Solomon's. |
| Song-of-Solomon 1:2 | Let him kiss me with kisses of his mouth, For better [are] thy loves than wine. | Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth; For thy love is better than wine. | Smelling sweet of the best ointments. Thy name is as oil poured out: therefore young maidens have loved thee. | Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth: for thy love is better than wine. |
| Song-of-Solomon 1:3 | For fragrance [are] thy perfumes good. Perfume emptied out thy name, Therefore have virgins loved thee! | Thine ointments savour sweetly; Thy name is an ointment poured forth: Therefore do the virgins love thee. | Draw me: we will run after thee to the odour of thy ointments. The king hath brought me into his storerooms: we will be glad and rejoice in thee, remembering thy breasts more than wine: the righteous love thee. | Because of the savor of thy good ointments thy name is as ointment poured forth, therefore do the virgins love thee. |
| Song-of-Solomon 1:4 | Draw me: after thee we run, The king hath brought me into his inner chambers, We do joy and rejoice in thee, We mention thy loves more than wine, Uprightly they have loved thee! | Draw me, we will run after thee! The king hath brought me into his chambers We will be glad and rejoice in thee, We will remember thy love more than wine. They love thee uprightly. | I am black but beautiful, O ye daughters of Jerusalem, as the tents of Cedar, as the curtains of Solomon. | Draw me, we will run after thee: the king hath brought me into his chambers; we will be glad and rejoice in thee, we will remember thy love more than wine: the upright love thee. |
| Song-of-Solomon 1:5 | Dark [am] I, and comely, daughters of Jerusalem, As tents of Kedar, as curtains of Solomon. | I am black, but comely, daughters of Jerusalem, As the tents of Kedar, As the curtains of Solomon. | Do not consider me that I am brown, because the sun hath altered my colour: the sons of my mother have fought against me, they have made me the keeper in the vineyards: my vineyard I have not kept. | I am black, but comely, O ye daughters of Jerusalem, as the tents of Kedar, as the curtains of Solomon. |
| Song-of-Solomon 1:6 | Fear me not, because I [am] very dark, Because the sun hath scorched me, The sons of my mother were angry with me, They made me keeper of the vineyards, My vineyard my own I have not kept. | Look not upon me, because I am black; Because the sun hath looked upon me. My mother's children were angry with me: They made me keeper of the vineyards; Mine own vineyard have I not kept. | Shew me, O thou whom my soul loveth, where thou feedest, where thou liest in the midday, lest I begin to wander after the flocks of thy companions. | Look not upon me, because I am black, because the sun hath looked upon me: my mother's children were angry with me; they made me the keeper of the vineyards; but my own vineyard have I not kept. |
| Song-of-Solomon 1:7 | Declare to me, thou whom my soul hath loved, Where thou delightest, Where thou liest down at noon, For why am I as one veiled, By the ranks of thy companions? | Tell me, thou whom my soul loveth, Where thou feedest [thy flock], Where thou makest it to rest at noon; For why should I be as one veiled Beside the flocks of thy companions? | If thou know not thyself, O fairest among women, go forth, and follow after the steps of the flocks, and feed thy kids beside the tents of the shepherds. | Tell me, O thou whom my soul loveth, where thou feedest, where thou makest thy flock to rest at noon: for why should I be as one that turneth aside by the flocks of thy companions? |
| Song-of-Solomon 1:8 | If thou knowest not, O fair among women, Get thee forth by the traces of the flock, And feed thy kids by the shepherds` dwellings! | If thou know not, thou fairest among women, Go thy way forth by the footsteps of the flock, And feed thy kids beside the shepherds' booths. | To my company of horsemen, in Pharao's chariots, have I likened thee, O my love. | If thou knowest not, O thou fairest among women, go forth by the footsteps of the flock, and feed thy kids beside the shepherds tents. |
| Song-of-Solomon 1:9 | To my joyous one in chariots of Pharaoh, I have compared thee, my friend, | I compare thee, my love, To a steed in Pharaoh's chariots. | Thy cheeks are beautiful as the turtledove's, thy neck as jewels. | I have compared thee, O my love, to a company of horses in Pharaoh's chariots. |
| Song-of-Solomon 1:10 | Comely have been thy cheeks with garlands, Thy neck with chains. | Thy cheeks are comely with bead-rows, Thy neck with ornamental chains. | We will make thee chains of gold, inlaid with silver. | Thy cheeks are comely with rows of jewels, thy neck with chains of gold. |
| Song-of-Solomon 1:11 | Garlands of gold we do make for thee, With studs of silver! | We will make thee bead-rows of gold With studs of silver. | While the king was at his repose, my spikenard sent forth the odour thereof. | We will make for thee borders of gold with studs of silver. |
| Song-of-Solomon 1:12 | While the king [is] in his circle, My spikenard hath given its fragrance. | While the king is at his table, My spikenard sendeth forth its fragrance. | A bundle of myrrh is my beloved to me, he shall abide between my breasts. | While the king sitteth at his table, my spikenard sendeth forth its smell. |
| Song-of-Solomon 1:13 | A bundle of myrrh [is] my beloved to me, Between my breasts it lodgeth. | A bundle of myrrh is my beloved unto me; He shall pass the night between my breasts. | A cluster of cypress my love is to me, in the vineyards of Engaddi. | A bundle of myrrh is my well beloved to me; he shall lie all night betwixt my breasts. |
| Song-of-Solomon 1:14 | A cluster of cypress [is] my beloved to me, In the vineyards of En-Gedi! | My beloved is unto me a cluster of henna-flowers In the vineyards of Engedi. | Behold thou art fair, O my love, behold thou art fair, thy eyes are as those of doves. | My beloved is to me as a cluster of camphor in the vineyards of En-gedi. |
| Song-of-Solomon 1:15 | Lo, thou [art] fair, my friend, Lo, thou [art] fair, thine eyes [are] doves! | Behold, thou art fair, my love; Behold, thou art fair: thine eyes are doves. | Behold thou art fair, my beloved, and comely. Our bed is flourishing. | Behold, thou art fair, my love; behold, thou art fair; thou hast doves' eyes. |
| Song-of-Solomon 1:16 | Lo, thou [art] fair, my love, yea, pleasant, Yea, our couch [is] green, | Behold, thou art fair, my beloved, yea, pleasant; Also our bed is green. | The beams of our houses are of cedar, our rafters of cypress trees. | Behold, thou art fair, my beloved, yes, pleasant: also our bed is green. |
| Song-of-Solomon 1:17 | The beams of our houses [are] cedars, Our rafters [are] firs, I [am] a rose of Sharon, a lily of the valleys! | The beams of our houses are cedars, Our rafters are cypresses. | | The beams of our house are cedar, and our rafters of fir. |
