Psalms 72:1By Solomon. O God, Thy judgments to the king give, And Thy righteousness to the king`s son.{For Solomon.} O God, give the king thy judgments, and thy righteousness unto the king's son.A psalm for Asaph. How good is God to Israel, to them that are of a right heart!God, give the king your justice; Your righteousness to the royal son.

Psalms 72:3The mountains bear peace to the people, And the heights by righteousness. The mountains shall bring peace to the people, and the hills, by righteousness.Because I had a zeal on occasion of the wicked, seeing the prosperity of sinners. The mountains shall bring prosperity to the people; The hills bring the fruit of righteousness.
Psalms 72:4He judgeth the poor of the people, Giveth deliverance to the sons of the needy, And bruiseth the oppressor. He will do justice to the afflicted of the people; he will save the children of the needy, and will break in pieces the oppressor. For there is no regard to their death, nor is there strength in their stripes. He will judge the poor of the people. He will save the children of the needy, And will break the oppressor in pieces.
Psalms 72:5They fear Thee with the sun, and before the moon, Generation generations. They shall fear thee as long as sun and moon endure, from generation to generation. They are not in the labour of men: neither shall they be scourged like other men. B Therefore pride hath held them fast: they are covered with their iniquity and their wickedness. They shall fear you while the sun endures; And as long as the moon, throughout all generations.
Psalms 72:6He cometh down as rain on mown grass, As showers sprinkling the earth. He shall come down like rain on the mown grass, as showers that water the earth.Their iniquity hath come forth, as it were from fatness: they have passed into the affection of the heart. He will come down like rain on the mown grass, As showers that water the earth.
Psalms 72:7Flourish in his days doth the righteous, And abundance of peace till the moon is not.In his days shall the righteous flourish, and abundance of peace till the moon be no more. They have thought and spoken wickedness: they have spoken iniquity on high.In his days, the righteous shall flourish, And abundance of peace, until the moon is no more.
Psalms 72:8And he ruleth from sea unto sea, And from the river unto the ends of earth. And he shall have dominion from sea to sea, and from the river unto the ends of the earth. They have set their mouth against heaven: and their tongue hath passed through the earth. He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, From the River to the ends of the earth.
Psalms 72:9Before him bow do the inhabitants of the dry places, And his enemies lick the dust. The dwellers in the desert shall bow before him, and his enemies shall lick the dust. Therefore will my people return here and full days shall be found in them. Those who dwell in the wilderness shall bow before him. His enemies shall lick the dust.
Psalms 72:10Kings of Tarshish and of the isles send back a present. Kings of Sheba and Seba a reward bring near. The kings of Tarshish and of the isles shall render presents; the kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer tribute:And they said: How doth God know? and is there knowledge in the most High? The kings of Tarshish and of the isles will bring tribute. The kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts.

All nations shall serve him.
Psalms 72:12For he delivereth the needy who crieth, And the poor when he hath no helper,For he will deliver the needy who crieth, and the afflicted, who hath no helper; And I said: Then have I in vain justified my heart, and washed my hands among the innocent. For he will deliver the needy when he cries; The poor, who has no helper.
Psalms 72:13He hath pity on the poor and needy, And the souls of the needy he saveth,He will have compassion on the poor and needy, and will save the souls of the needy:And I have been scourged all the day; and my chastisement hath been in the mornings. He will have pity on the poor and needy. He will save the souls of the needy.
Psalms 72:14From fraud and from violence he redeemeth their soul, And precious is their blood in his eyes.He will redeem their souls from oppression and violence, and precious shall their blood be in his sight. If I said: I will speak thus; behold I should condemn the generation of thy children. He will redeem their soul from oppression and violence. Their blood will be precious in his sight.
Psalms 72:15And he liveth, and giveth to him of the gold of Sheba, And prayeth for him continually, All the day he doth bless him.And he shall live; and to him shall be given of the gold of Sheba; and prayer shall be made for him continually: all the day shall he be blessed.I studied that I might know this thing, it is a labour in my sight:They shall live, and to him shall be given of the gold of Sheba. Men shall pray for him continually. They shall bless him all day long.
Psalms 72:16There is a handful of corn in the earth, On the top of mountains, Shake like Lebanon doth its fruit, And they flourish out of the city as the herb of the earth. There shall be abundance of corn in the earth, upon the top of the mountains; the fruit thereof shall shake like Lebanon; and they of the city shall bloom like the herb of the earth.Until I go into the sanctuary of God, and understand concerning their last ends. There shall be abundance of grain throughout the land. Its fruit sways like Lebanon. Let it flourish, thriving like the grass of the field.
Psalms 72:17His name is to the age, Before the sun is his name continued, And they bless themselves in him, All nations do pronounce him happy. His name shall endure for ever; his name shall be continued as long as the sun: and [men] shall bless themselves in him; all nations shall call him blessed. But indeed for deceits thou hast put it to them: when they were lifted up thou hast cast them down. His name endures forever. His name continues as long as the sun. Men shall be blessed by him. All nations will call him blessed.
