| Psalms 75:1 | To the Overseer. `Destroy not.` A Psalm of Asaph. A Song. We have given thanks to Thee, O God, We have given thanks, and near [is] Thy name, They have recounted Thy wonders. | {To the chief Musician. 'Destroy not.' A Psalm of Asaph: a Song.} Unto thee we give thanks, O God, we give thanks; and thy name is near: thy marvellous works declare it. | Unto the end, in praises, a psalm for Asaph: a canticle to the Assyrians. | We give thanks to you, God, We give thanks, for your Name is near. Men tell about your wondrous works. |
| Psalms 75:2 | When I receive an appointment, I I do judge uprightly. | When I shall receive the assembly, I will judge with equity. | In Judea God is known: his name is great in Israel. | When I choose the appointed time, I will judge blamelessly. |
| Psalms 75:3 | Melted is the earth and all its inhabitants, I I have pondered its pillars. Selah. | The earth and all the inhabitants thereof are dissolved: I have established its pillars. Selah. | And his place is in peace: and his abode in Sion: | The earth and all its inhabitants quake. I firmly hold its pillars. Selah. |
| Psalms 75:4 | I have said to the boastful, `Be not boastful,` And to the wicked, `Raise not up a horn.` | I said unto the boastful, Boast not; and to the wicked, Lift not up the horn: | There hath he broken the powers of bows, the shield, the sword, and the battie. | I said to the arrogant, "Don't boast;" To the wicked, "Don't lift up the horn. |
| Psalms 75:5 | Raise not up on high your horn, (Ye speak with a stiff neck.) | Lift not up your horn on high; speak not arrogantly with a [stiff] neck. | Thou enlightenest wonderfully from the everlasting hills. | Don't lift up your horn on high. Don't speak with a stiff neck." |
| Psalms 75:6 | For not from the east, or from the west, Nor from the wilderness [is] elevation. | For not from the east nor from the west, nor yet from the south doth exaltation [come]: | All the foolish of heart were troubled. They have slept their sleep; and all the men of riches have found nothing in their hands. | For neither from the east, nor from the west, Nor yet from the south, comes exaltation. |
| Psalms 75:7 | But God [is] judge, This He maketh low and this He lifteth up. | For God is the judge; he putteth down one and exalteth another. | At thy rebuke, O God of Jacob, they have all slumbered that mounted on horseback. | But God is the judge. He puts down one, and lifts up another. |
| Psalms 75:8 | For a cup [is] in the hand of Jehovah, And the wine hath foamed, It is full of mixture, and He poureth out of it, Only its dregs wring out, and drink, Do all the wicked of the earth, | For in the hand of Jehovah there is a cup, and it foameth with wine, it is full of mixture; and he poureth out of the same; yea, the dregs thereof shall all the wicked of the earth drain off, [and] drink. | Thou art terrible, and who shall resist thee? from that time thy wrath. | For in the hand of Yahweh there is a cup, Full of foaming wine mixed with spices. He pours it out. Indeed the wicked of the earth drink and drink it to its very dregs. |
| Psalms 75:9 | And I I declare [it] to the age, I sing praise to the God of Jacob. | But as for me, I will declare for ever; I will sing psalms to the God of Jacob. | Thou hast caused judgment to be heard from heaven: the earth trembled and was still, | But I will declare this forever: I will sing praises to the God of Jacob. |
| Psalms 75:10 | And all horns of the wicked I cut off, Exalted are the horns of the righteous! | And all the horns of the wicked will I cut off; [but] the horns of the righteous shall be exalted. | When God arose in judgment, to save all the meek of the earth. | I will cut off all the horns of the wicked, But the horns of the righteous shall be lifted up. Psalm 76 For the Chief Musician. On stringed instruments. A Psalm by Asaph. A song. |
