Psalms 87:2Jehovah is loving the gates of Zion Above all the tabernacles of Jacob.Jehovah loveth the gates of Zion more than all the habitations of Jacob.O Lord, the God of my salvation: I have cried in the day, and in the night before thee.Yahweh loves the gates of Zion More than all the dwellings of Jacob.
Psalms 87:3Honourable things are spoken in Thee, O city of God. Selah.Glorious things are spoken of thee, O city of God. Selah.Let my prayer come in before thee: incline thy ear to my petition.Glorious things are spoken about you, city of God. Selah.
Psalms 87:4I mention Rahab and Babel to those knowing Me, Lo, Philistia, and Tyre, with Cush! This [one] was born there.I will make mention of Rahab and Babylon among them that know me; behold Philistia, and Tyre, with Ethiopia: this [man] was born there.For my soul is filled with evils: and my life hath drawn nigh to hell.I will record Rahab and Babylon among those who acknowledge me. Behold, Philistia, Tyre, and also Ethiopia: "This one was born there."
Psalms 87:5And of Zion it is said: Each one was born in her, And He, the Most High, doth establish her.And of Zion it shall be said, This one and that one was born in her; and the Most High himself shall establish her.I am counted among them that go down to the pit: I am become as a man without help,Yes, of Zion it will be said, "This one and that one was born in her;" The Most High himself will establish her.
Psalms 87:6Jehovah doth recount in the describing of the peoples, `This [one] was born there.` Selah.Jehovah will count, when he inscribeth the peoples, This [man] was born there. Selah.free among the dead. Like the slain sleeping in the sepulchres, whom thou rememberest no more: and they are cast off from thy hand.Yahweh will count, when he writes up the peoples, "This one was born there." Selah.
Psalms 87:7Singers also as players on instruments, All my fountains [are] in Thee!As well the singers as the dancers [shall say], All my springs are in thee.They have laid me in the lower pit: in the dark places, and in the shadow of death.Those who sing as well as those who dance say, "All my springs are in you."
