| Psalms 20:1 | To the Overseer. A Psalm of David. Jehovah doth answer thee, In a day of adversity, The name of the God of Jacob doth set thee on high, | {To the chief Musician. A Psalm of David.} Jehovah answer thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob protect thee; | May Yahweh answer you in the day of trouble. May the name of the God of Jacob set you up on high, | Unto the end. A psalm for David. |
| Psalms 20:2 | He doth send thy help from the sanctuary, And from Zion doth support thee, | May he send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion; | Send you help from the sanctuary, Grant you support from Zion, | In thy strength, O Lord, the king shall joy; and in thy salvation he shall rejoice exceedingly. |
| Psalms 20:3 | He doth remember all thy presents, And thy burnt-offering doth reduce to ashes. Selah. | Remember all thine oblations, and accept thy burnt-offering; Selah. | Remember all your offerings, And accept your burnt-sacrifice. Selah. | Thou hast given him his heart's desire: end hast not withholden from him the will of his lips. |

Jehovah doth fulfil all thy requests. | We will triumph in thy salvation, and in the name of our God will we set up our banners. Jehovah fulfil all thy petitions! | We will triumph in your salvation. In the name of our God we will set up our banners: Yahweh fulfill all your petitions. | He asked life of thee: and thou hast given him length of days for ever and ever. |
| Psalms 20:6 | Now I have known That Jehovah hath saved His anointed, He answereth him from His holy heavens, With the saving might of His right hand. | Now know I that Jehovah saveth his anointed; he answereth him from the heavens of his holiness, with the saving strength of his right hand. | Now I know that Yahweh saves his anointed. He will answer him from his holy heaven, With the saving strength of his right hand. | His glory is great in thy salvation: glory and great beauty shalt thou lay upon him. |
