| Psalms 6:1 | To the Overseer with stringed instruments, on the octave. A Psalm of David. O Jehovah, in Thine anger reprove me not, Nor in Thy fury chastise me. | {To the chief Musician. On stringed instruments, upon Sheminith. A Psalm of David.} Jehovah, rebuke me not in thine anger, and chasten me not in thy hot displeasure. | Yahweh, don't rebuke me in your anger, Neither discipline me in your wrath. | Unto the end, in verses, a psalm for David, for the octave. |
| Psalms 6:2 | Favour me, O Jehovah, for I [am] weak, Heal me, O Jehovah, For troubled have been my bones, | Be gracious unto me, Jehovah, for I am withered; Jehovah, heal me, for my bones tremble. | Have mercy on me, Yahweh, for I am faint. Yahweh, heal me, for my bones are troubled. | O Lord, rebuke me not in thy indignation, nor chastise me in thy wrath. |
| Psalms 6:3 | And my soul hath been troubled greatly, And Thou, O Jehovah, till when? | And my soul trembleth exceedingly: and thou, Jehovah, till how long? | My soul is also in great anguish. But you, Yahweh how long? | Have mercy on me, O Lord, for I am weak: heal me, O Lord, for my bones are troubled. |

In Sheol, who shall give you thanks? | Turn to me, O Lord, and deliver my soul: O save me for thy mercy's sake. |
| Psalms 6:6 | I have been weary with my sighing, I meditate through all the night [on] my bed, With my tear my couch I waste. | I am wearied with my groaning; all the night make I my bed to swim; I dissolve my couch with my tears. | I am weary with my groaning; Every night I flood my bed; I drench my couch with my tears. | For there is no one in death, that is mindful of thee: and who shall confess to thee in hell? |
| Psalms 6:7 | Old from provocation is mine eye, It is old because of all mine adversaries, | Mine eye wasteth away through grief; it hath grown old because of all mine oppressors. | My eye wastes away because of grief; It grows old because of all my adversaries. | I have laboured in my groanings, every night I will wash my bed: I will water my couch with my tears. |
