| Psalms 76:1 | To the Overseer with stringed instruments. A Psalm of Asaph. A Song. In Judah [is] God known, in Israel His name [is] great. | In Judah is God known: his name is great in Israel. | | Unto the end, for Idithun, a psalm of Asaph. |

| Psalms 76:6 | From Thy rebuke, O God of Jacob, Both rider and horse have been fast asleep. | At thy rebuke, O God of Jacob, both the chariot and horse are cast into a dead sleep. | | I thought upon the days of old: and I had in my mind the eternal years. |
| Psalms 76:7 | Thou, fearful [art] Thou, And who doth stand before Thee, Since Thou hast been angry! | Thou, even thou, art to be feared: and who may stand in thy sight when once thou art angry? | | And I meditated in the night with my own heart: and I was exercised and I swept my spirit. |

| Psalms 76:10 | For the fierceness of man praiseth Thee, The remnant of fierceness Thou girdest on. | Surely the wrath of man shall praise thee: the remainder of wrath shalt thou restrain. | | Or will God forget to shew mercy? or will he in his anger shut up his mercies? |
