| Psalms 89:1 | An instruction, by Ethan the Ezrahite. Of the kind acts of Jehovah, to the age I sing, To all generations I make known Thy faithfulness with my mouth, | I will sing of the mercies of the LORD for ever: with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations. | | A prayer of Moses the man of God. Lord, thou hast been our refuge from generation to generation. |
| Psalms 89:2 | For I said, `To the age is kindness built, The heavens! Thou dost establish Thy faithfulness in them.` | For I have said, Mercy shall be built up for ever: thy faithfulness shalt thou establish in the very heavens. | | Before the mountains were made, or the earth and the world was formed; from eternity and to eternity thou art God. |
| Psalms 89:3 | I have made a covenant for My chosen, I have sworn to David My servant: | I have made a covenant with my chosen, I have sworn unto David my servant, | | Turn not man away to be brought low: and thou hast said: Be converted, O ye sons of men. |
| Psalms 89:4 | `Even to the age do I establish thy seed, And have built to generation and generation thy throne. Selah. | Thy seed will I establish for ever, and build up thy throne to all generations. Selah. | | For a thousand years in thy sight are as yesterday, which is past. And as a watch in the night, |
| Psalms 89:5 | and the heavens confess Thy wonders, O Jehovah, Thy faithfulness also [is] in an assembly of holy ones. | And the heavens shall praise thy wonders, O LORD: thy faithfulness also in the congregation of the saints. | | things that are counted nothing, shall their years be. |
| Psalms 89:6 | For who in the sky, Compareth himself to Jehovah? Is like to Jehovah among sons of the mighty? | For who in the heaven can be compared unto the LORD? who among the sons of the mighty can be likened unto the LORD? | | In the morning man shall grow up like grass; in the morning he shall flourish and pass away: in the evening he shall fall, grow dry, and wither. |
| Psalms 89:7 | God is very terrible, In the secret counsel of His holy ones, And fearful over all surrounding Him. | God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be had in reverence of all them that are about him. | | For in thy wrath we have fainted away: and are troubled in thy indignation. |
| Psalms 89:8 | O Jehovah, God of Hosts, Who [is] like Thee a strong Jah? And Thy faithfulness [is] round about Thee. | O LORD God of hosts, who is a strong LORD like unto thee? or to thy faithfulness round about thee? | | Thou hast set our iniquities before thy eyes: our life in the light of thy countenance. |
| Psalms 89:9 | Thou [art] ruler over the pride of the sea, In the lifting up of its billows Thou dost restrain them. | Thou rulest the raging of the sea: when the waves thereof arise, thou stillest them. | | For all our days are spent; and in thy wrath we have fainted away. | Psalms 89:10 | Thou hast bruised Rahab, as one wounded. With the arm of Thy strength Thou hast scattered Thine enemies. | Thou hast broken Rahab in pieces, as one that is slain; thou hast scattered thine enemies with thy strong arm. | | the days of our years in them are threescore and ten years. But if in the strong they be fourscore years: and what is more of them is labour and sorrow. For mildness is come upon us: and we shall be corrected. |

| Psalms 89:12 | North and south Thou hast appointed them, Tabor and Hermon in Thy name do sing. | The north and the south thou hast created them: Tabor and Hermon shall rejoice in thy name. | | can number thy wrath? So make thy right hand known: and men learned in heart, in wisdom. |

| Psalms 89:14 | Righteousness and judgment [Are] the fixed place of Thy throne, Kindness and truth go before Thy face. | Justice and judgment are the habitation of thy throne: mercy and truth shall go before thy face. | | We are filled in the morning with thy mercy: and we have rejoiced, and are delighted all our days. |
| Psalms 89:15 | O the happiness of the people knowing the shout, O Jehovah, in the light of Thy face they walk habitually. | Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound: they shall walk, O LORD, in the light of thy countenance. | | We have rejoiced for the days in which thou hast humbled us: for the years in which we have seen evils. |
| Psalms 89:16 | In Thy name they rejoice all the day, And in Thy righteousness they are exalted, | In thy name shall they rejoice all the day: and in thy righteousness shall they be exalted. | | Look upon thy servants and upon their works: and direct their children. |

| Psalms 89:24 | And My faithfulness and kindness [are] with him, And in My name is his horn exalted. | But my faithfulness and my mercy shall be with him: and in my name shall his horn be exalted. | | |

| Psalms 89:27 | I also first-born do appoint him, Highest of the kings of the earth. | Also I will make him my firstborn, higher than the kings of the earth. | | |
| Psalms 89:28 | To the age I keep for him My kindness, And My covenant [is] stedfast with him. | My mercy will I keep for him for evermore, and my covenant shall stand fast with him. | | |

| Psalms 89:32 | I have looked after with a rod their transgression, And with strokes their iniquity, | Then will I visit their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes. | | |
| Psalms 89:33 | And My kindness I break not from him, Nor do I deal falsely in My faithfulness. | Nevertheless my lovingkindness will I not utterly take from him, nor suffer my faithfulness to fail. | | |

| Psalms 89:37 | As the moon it is established to the age, And the witness in the sky is stedfast. Selah. | It shall be established for ever as the moon, and as a faithful witness in heaven. Selah. | | |
| Psalms 89:38 | And Thou, Thou hast cast off, and dost reject, Thou hast shown Thyself wroth With Thine anointed, | But thou hast cast off and abhorred, thou hast been wroth with thine anointed. | | |
| Psalms 89:39 | Hast rejected the covenant of Thy servant, Thou hast polluted to the earth his crown, | Thou hast made void the covenant of thy servant: thou hast profaned his crown by casting it to the ground. | | |
