| Psalms 35:1 | By David. Strive, Jehovah, with my strivers, fight with my fighters, | A Psalm of David. Plead my cause, O LORD, with them that strive with me: fight against them that fight against me. | Contend, Yahweh, with those who contend with me. Fight against those who fight against me. | Unto the end, for the servant of God, David himself. |
| Psalms 35:2 | Take hold of shield and buckler, and rise for my help, | Take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up for my help. | Take hold of shield and buckler, And stand up for my help. | The unjust hath said within himself, that he would sin : there is no fear of God before his eyes. |
| Psalms 35:3 | And draw out spear and lance, To meet my pursuers.
