| Psalms 23:1 | A Psalm of David. Jehovah [is] my shepherd, I do not lack, | | On the first day of the week, a psalm for David. The earth is the Lord's and the fulness thereof: the world, and all they that dwell therein. | A Psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. |
| Psalms 23:2 | In pastures of tender grass He causeth me to lie down, By quiet waters He doth lead me. | | For he hath founded it upon the seas; and hath prepared it upon the rivers. | He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. |
| Psalms 23:3 | My soul He refresheth, He leadeth me in paths of righteousness, For His name`s sake, | | Who shall ascend into the mountain of the Lord: or who shall stand in his holy place? | He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. |
| Psalms 23:4 | Also when I walk in a valley of death-shade, I fear no evil, for Thou [art] with me, Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me. | | The innocent in hands, and clean of heart, who hath not taken his soul in vain, nor sworn deceitfully to his neighbour. | Yes, though I walk through the valley of the shades of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. |
| Psalms 23:5 | Thou arrangest before me a table, Over-against my adversaries, Thou hast anointed with oil my head, My cup is full! | | He shall receive a blessing from the Lord, and mercy from God his Saviour. | Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of my enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. |
