| Psalms 19:1 | To the Overseer. A Psalm of David. The heavens [are] recounting the honour of God, And the work of His hands The expanse [is] declaring. | | The heavens declare the glory of God. The expanse shows his handiwork. | Unto the end. A psalm for David. |
| Psalms 19:2 | Day to day uttereth speech, And night to night sheweth knowledge. | | Day after day they pour forth speech, And night after night they display knowledge. | May the Lord hear thee in the day of tribulation: may the name of the God of Jacob protect thee. |
| Psalms 19:3 | There is no speech, and there are no words. Their voice hath not been heard. | | There is no speech nor language, Where their voice is not heard. | May he send thee help from the sanctuary: and defend thee out of Sion. |
| Psalms 19:4 | Into all the earth hath their line gone forth, And to the end of the world their sayings, For the sun He placed a tent in them, | | Their voice has gone out through all the earth, Their words to the end of the world. In them he has set a tent for the sun, | May he be mindful of all thy sacrifices: and may thy whole burnt offering be made fat. |
| Psalms 19:5 | And he, as a bridegroom, goeth out from his covering, He rejoiceth as a mighty one To run the path. | | Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, Like a strong man rejoicing to run his course. | May he give thee according to thy own heart; and confirm all thy counsels. |
| Psalms 19:6 | From the end of the heavens [is] his going out, And his revolution [is] unto their ends, And nothing is hid from his heat. | | His going forth is from the end of the heavens, His circuit to the ends of it; There is nothing hid from the heat of it. | We will rejoice in thy salvation; and in the name of our God we shall be exalted. |
| Psalms 19:7 | The law of Jehovah [is] perfect, refreshing the soul, The testimonies of Jehovah [are] stedfast, Making wise the simple, | | The law of Yahweh is perfect, restoring the soul. The testimony of Yahweh is sure, making wise the simple. | The Lord fulfil all thy petitions: now have I known that the Lord hath saved his anointed. He will hear him from his holy heaven: the salvation of his right hand is in powers. |
| Psalms 19:8 | The precepts of Jehovah [are] upright, Rejoicing the heart, The command of Jehovah [is] pure, enlightening the eyes, | | The precepts of Yahweh are right, rejoicing the heart. The commandment of Yahweh is pure, enlightening the eyes. | Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will call upon the name of the Lord our God. |
| Psalms 19:9 | The fear of Jehovah [is] clean, standing to the age, The judgments of Jehovah [are] true, They have been righteous together. | | The fear of Yahweh is clean, enduring forever. The ordinances of Yahweh are true, and righteous altogether. | They are bound, and have fallen; but we are risen, and are set upright. O Lord, save the king: and hear us in the day that we shall call upon thee. |
| Psalms 19:10 | They are more desirable than gold, Yea, than much fine gold; and sweeter than honey, Even liquid honey of the comb. | | More to be desired are they than gold, yes, than much fine gold; Sweeter also than honey and the extract of the honeycomb. | |
| Psalms 19:11 | Also Thy servant is warned by them, `In keeping them [is] a great reward.` | | Moreover by them is your servant warned. In keeping them there is great reward. | |
| Psalms 19:12 | Errors! who doth understand? From hidden ones declare me innocent, | | Who can discern his errors? Forgive me from hidden errors. | |
| Psalms 19:13 | Also from presumptuous ones keep back Thy servant, Let them not rule over me, Then am I perfect, And declared innocent of much transgression, | | Keep back your servant also from presumptuous sins. Let them not have dominion over me. Then I will be upright, I will be blameless and innocent of great transgression. | |
| Psalms 19:14 | Let the sayings of my mouth, And the meditation of my heart, Be for a pleasing thing before Thee, O Jehovah, my rock, and my redeemer! | | Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable in your sight, Yahweh, my rock, and my redeemer. Psalm 20 For the Chief Musician. A Psalm by David. | |
