| Psalms 85:1 | To the Overseer. By sons of Korah. A Psalm. Thou hast accepted, O Jehovah, Thy land, Thou hast turned [to] the captivity of Jacob. | | Yahweh, you have been favorable to your land. You have restored the fortunes of Jacob. | A prayer for David himself. Incline thy ear, O Lord, and hear me: for I am needy and poor. |
| Psalms 85:2 | Thou hast borne away the iniquity of Thy people, Thou hast covered all their sin. Selah. | | You have forgiven the iniquity of your people. You have covered all their sin. Selah. | Preserve my soul, for I am holy: save thy servant, O my God, that trusteth in thee. |
| Psalms 85:3 | Thou hast gathered up all Thy wrath, Thou hast turned back from the fierceness of Thine anger. | | You have taken away all your wrath. You have turned from the fierceness of your anger. | Have mercy on me, O Lord, for I have cried to thee all the day. |

| Psalms 85:7 | Show us, O Jehovah, thy kindness, And Thy salvation Thou dost give to us. | | Show us your lovingkindness, Yahweh. Grant us your salvation. | I have called upon thee in the day of my trouble: because thou hast heard me. |
| Psalms 85:8 | I hear what God Jehovah speaketh, For He speaketh peace unto His people, And unto His saints, and they turn not back to folly. | | I will hear what God, Yahweh, will speak, For he will speak peace to his people, his saints; But let them not turn again to folly. | There is none among the gods like unto thee, O Lord: and there is none according to thy works. |
| Psalms 85:9 | Only, near to those fearing Him [is] His salvation, That honour may dwell in our land. | | Surely his salvation is near those who fear him, That glory may dwell in our land. | All the nations thou hast made shall come and adore before thee, O Lord: and they shall glorify thy name. |
| Psalms 85:10 | Kindness and truth have met, Righteousness and peace have kissed, | | Mercy and truth meet together. Righteousness and peace have kissed each other. | For thou art great and dost wonderful things: thou art God alone. |
| Psalms 85:11 | Truth from the earth springeth up, And righteousness from heaven looketh out, | | Truth springs out of the earth. Righteousness has looked down from heaven. | Conduct me, O Lord, in thy way, and I will walk in thy truth: let my heart rejoice that it may fear thy name. |
