| Psalms 97:1 | Jehovah hath reigned, The earth is joyful, many isles rejoice. | Yahweh reigns! Let the earth rejoice. Let the multitude of islands be glad. | A psalm for David himself. Sing ye to the Lord anew canticle: because he hath done wonderful things. His right hand hath wrought for him salvation, and his arm is holy. | The LORD reigneth; let the earth rejoice; let the multitude of isles be glad. |
| Psalms 97:2 | Cloud and darkness [are] round about Him, Righteousness and judgment the basis of His throne. | Clouds and darkness are around him. Righteousness and justice are the foundation of his throne. | The Lord hath made known his salvation: he hath revealed his justice in the sight of the Gentiles. | Clouds and darkness surround him: righteousness and judgment are the habitation of his throne. |
