| John 9:1 | And as he passed by, he saw a man blind from his birth. | And when he went on his way, he saw a man blind from birth. | And Jesus passing by, saw a man, who was blind from his birth: |
| John 9:2 | And his disciples asked him, saying, Rabbi, who sinned, this man, or his parents, that he should be born blind? | And his disciples put a question to him, saying, Master, was it because of this man's sin, or the sin of his father and mother, that he has been blind from birth? | And his disciples asked him: Rabbi, who hath sinned, this man, or his parents, that he should be born blind? |
| John 9:3 | Jesus answered, Neither did this man sin, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him. | Jesus said in answer, It was not because of his sin, or because of his father's or mother's; it was so that the works of God might be seen openly in him. | Jesus answered: Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents; but that the works of God should be made manifest in him. |
