Zechariah 2:1And I lifted up mine eyes, and saw, and, behold, a man with a measuring line in his hand. And lifting up my eyes, I saw a man with a measuring-line in his hand.I lifted up my eyes, and saw, and, behold, a man with a measuring line in his hand.
Zechariah 2:2Then said I, Whither goest thou? And he said unto me, To measure Jerusalem, to see what is the breadth thereof, and what is the length thereof. And I said to him, Where are you going? And he said to me, To take the measure of Jerusalem, to see how wide and how long it is.Then said I, Where go you? He said to me, To measure Jerusalem, to see what is the breadth of it, and what is the length of it.
Zechariah 2:3And, behold, the angel that talked with me went forth, and another angel went out to meet him, And the angel who was talking to me went out, and another angel went out, and, meeting him,Behold, the angel who talked with me went forth, and another angel went out to meet him,
Zechariah 2:4and said unto him, Run, speak to this young man, saying, Jerusalem shall be inhabited as villages without walls, by reason of the multitude of men and cattle therein. Said to him, Go quickly and say to this young man, Jerusalem will be an unwalled town, because of the great number of men and cattle in her.and said to him, Run, speak to this young man, saying, Jerusalem shall be inhabited as villages without walls, by reason of the multitude of men and cattle therein.
Zechariah 2:5For I, saith Jehovah, will be unto her a wall of fire round about, and I will be the glory in the midst of her. For I, says the Lord, will be a wall of fire round about her, and I will be the glory inside her.For I, says Yahweh, will be to her a wall of fire round about, and I will be the glory in the midst of her.
Zechariah 2:6Ho, ho, flee from the land of the north, saith Jehovah; for I have spread you abroad as the four winds of the heavens, saith Jehovah. Ho, ho! go in flight from the land of the north, says the Lord: for I have sent you far and wide to the four winds of heaven, says the Lord.Ho, ho, flee from the land of the north, says Yahweh; for I have spread you abroad as the four winds of the sky, says Yahweh.
Zechariah 2:7Ho Zion, escape, thou that dwellest with the daughter of Babylon. Ho! Zion, go in flight from danger, you who are living with the daughter of Babylon.Ho Zion, escape, you who dwell with the daughter of Babylon.
Zechariah 2:8For thus saith Jehovah of hosts: After glory hath he sent me unto the nations which plundered you; for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye. For this is what the Lord of armies has said: In the way of glory he has sent me to the nations which have taken your goods: for anyone touching you is touching what is most dear to him.For thus says Yahweh of hosts: After glory has he sent me to the nations which plundered you; for he who touches you touches the apple of his eye.
Zechariah 2:9For, behold, I will shake my hand over them, and they shall be a spoil to those that served them; and ye shall know that Jehovah of hosts hath sent me. For at the shaking of my hand over them, their goods will be taken by those who were their servants: and you will see that the Lord of armies has sent me.For, behold, I will shake my hand over them, and they shall be a spoil to those who served them; and you shall know that Yahweh of Hosts has sent me.
Zechariah 2:10Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion; for, lo, I come, and I will dwell in the midst of thee, saith Jehovah. Give songs of joy, O daughter of Zion: for I come, and I will make my resting-place among you, says the Lord.Sing and rejoice, daughter of Zion; for, behold, I come, and I will dwell in the midst of you, says Yahweh.
Zechariah 2:11And many nations shall join themselves to Jehovah in that day, and shall be my people; and I will dwell in the midst of thee, and thou shalt know that Jehovah of hosts has sent me unto thee. And a number of nations will be joined to the Lord in that day, and will become my people; and I will be living among you, and you will see that the Lord of armies has sent me to you.Many nations shall join themselves to Yahweh in that day, and shall be my people; and I will dwell in the midst of you, and you shall know that Yahweh of Hosts has sent me to you.
Zechariah 2:12And Jehovah shall inherit Judah as his portion in the holy land, and shall yet choose Jerusalem. And Judah will be the Lord's heritage in the holy land, and Jerusalem will again be his.Yahweh shall inherit Judah as his portion in the holy land, and shall yet choose Jerusalem.
Zechariah 2:13Be silent, all flesh, before Jehovah; for he is waked up out of his holy habitation. Let all flesh be quiet and make no sound before the Lord: for he is awake and has come from his holy resting-place.Be silent, all flesh, before Yahweh; for he is waked up out of his holy habitation.
