Hebrews 2:1Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things that were heard, lest haply we drift away [from them]. For this reason we should give heed more abundantly to the things [we have] heard, lest in any way we should slip away. Therefore ought we more diligently to observe the things which we have heard, lest perhaps we should let them slip.
Hebrews 2:2For if the word spoken through angels proved stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompense of reward; For if the word which was spoken by angels was firm, and every transgression and disobedience received just retribution,For if the word, spoken by angels, became steadfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompense of reward:
Hebrews 2:3how shall we escape, if we neglect so great a salvation? which having at the first been spoken through the Lord, was confirmed unto us by them that heard; how shall *we* escape if we have been negligent of so great salvation, which, having had its commencement in being spoken [of] by the Lord, has been confirmed to us by those who have heard; How shall we escape if we neglect so great salvation? which having begun to be declared by the Lord, was confirmed unto us by them that heard him.
Hebrews 2:4God also bearing witness with them, both by signs and wonders, and by manifold powers, and by gifts of the Holy Spirit, according to his own will. God bearing, besides, witness with [them] to [it], both by signs and wonders, and various acts of power, and distributions of [the] Holy Spirit, according to his will?God also bearing them witness by signs, and wonders, and divers miracles, and distributions of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will.
Hebrews 2:5For not unto angels did he subject the world to come, whereof we speak. For he has not subjected to angels the habitable world which is to come, of which we speak; For God hath not subjected unto angels the world to come, whereof we speak.
Hebrews 2:6But one hath somewhere testified, saying, What is man, that thou art mindful of him? Or the son of man, that thou visitest him? but one has testified somewhere, saying, What is man, that thou rememberest him, or son of man that thou visitest him?But one in a certain place hath testified, saying: What is man, that thou art mindful of him: or the son of man, that thou visitest him?
Hebrews 2:7Thou madest him a little lower than the angels; Thou crownedst him with glory and honor, And didst set him over the works of thy hands: Thou hast made him some little inferior to the angels; thou hast crowned him with glory and honour, [and hast set him over the works of thy hands;]Thou hast made him a little lower than the angels: thou hast crowned him with glory and honour, and hast set him over the works of thy hands:
Hebrews 2:8Thou didst put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he subjected all things unto him, he left nothing that is not subject to him. But now we see not yet all things subjected to him. thou hast subjected all things under his feet. For in subjecting all things to him, he has left nothing unsubject to him. But now we see not yet all things subjected to *him*,Thou hast subjected all things under his feet. For in that he hath subjected all things to him, he left nothing not subject to him. But now we see not as yet all things subject to him.
Hebrews 2:9But we behold him who hath been made a little lower than the angels, [even] Jesus, because of the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that by the grace of God he should taste of death for every [man]. but we see Jesus, who [was] made some little inferior to angels on account of the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; so that by the grace of God he should taste death for every thing. But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour: that, through the grace of God, he might taste death for all.
Hebrews 2:10For it became him, for whom are all things, and through whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the author of their salvation perfect through sufferings. For it became him, for whom [are] all things, and by whom [are] all things, in bringing many sons to glory, to make perfect the leader of their salvation through sufferings. For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, who had brought many children into glory, to perfect the author of their salvation, by his passion.
Hebrews 2:11For both he that sanctifieth and they that are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren, For both he that sanctifies and those sanctified [are] all of one; for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren,For both he that sanctifieth, and they who are sanctified, are all of one. For which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren, saying:
Hebrews 2:12saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, In the midst of the congregation will I sing thy praise. saying, I will declare thy name to my brethren; in [the] midst of [the] assembly will I sing thy praises.I will declare thy name to my brethren; in the midst of the church will I praise thee.
Hebrews 2:13And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold, I and the children whom God hath given me. And again, I will trust in him. And again, Behold, I and the children which God has given me.And again: I will put my trust in him. And again: Behold I and my children, whom God hath given me.
Hebrews 2:14Since then the children are sharers in flesh and blood, he also himself in like manner partook of the same; that through death he might bring to nought him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; Since therefore the children partake of blood and flesh, he also, in like manner, took part in the same, that through death he might annul him who has the might of death, that is, the devil; Therefore because the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself in like manner hath been partaker of the same: that, through death, he might destroy him who had the empire of death, that is to say, the devil:
Hebrews 2:15and might deliver all them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. and might set free all those who through fear of death through the whole of their life were subject to bondage. And might deliver them, who through the fear of death were all their lifetime subject to servitude.
Hebrews 2:16For verily not to angels doth he give help, but he giveth help to the seed of Abraham. For he does not indeed take hold of angels [by the hand], but he takes hold of the seed of Abraham. For no where doth he take hold of the angels: but of the seed of Abraham he taketh hold.
Hebrews 2:17Wherefore it behooved him in all things to be made like unto his brethren, that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people. Wherefore it behoved him in all things to be made like to [his] brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things relating to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people;Wherefore it behoved him in all things to be made like unto his brethren, that he might become a merciful and faithful priest before God, that he might be a propitiation for the sins of the people.
Hebrews 2:18For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succor them that are tempted. for, in that himself has suffered, being tempted, he is able to help those that are being tempted. For in that, wherein he himself hath suffered and been tempted, he is able to succour them also that are tempted.
