| Matthew 24:1 | And Jesus went out from the temple, and was going on his way; and his disciples came to him to show him the buildings of the temple. | And Jesus went forth and went away from the temple, and his disciples came to [him] to point out to him the buildings of the temple. | Jesus had left the Temple and was going on His way, when His disciples came and called His attention to the Temple buildings. |
| Matthew 24:2 | But he answered and said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. | And he answering said to them, Do ye not see all these things? Verily I say to you, Not a stone shall be left here upon a stone which shall not be thrown down. | "You see all these?" He replied; "in solemn truth I tell you that there will not be left here one stone upon another that will not be pulled down." |
| Matthew 24:3 | And as he sat on the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what [shall be] the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? | And as he was sitting upon the mount of Olives the disciples came to him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be, and what is the sign of thy coming and [the] completion of the age? | Afterwards He was on the Mount of Olives and was seated there when the disciples came to Him, apart from the others, and said, "Tell us when this will be; and what will be the sign of your Coming and of the Close of the Age?" |
| Matthew 24:4 | And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man lead you astray. | And Jesus answering said to them, See that no one mislead you. | "Take care that no one misleads you," answered Jesus; |
| Matthew 24:5 | For many shall come in my name, saying, I am the Christ; and shall lead many astray. | For many shall come in my name, saying, *I* am the Christ, and they shall mislead many. | "for many will come assuming my name and saying `I am the Christ;' and they will mislead many. |
| Matthew 24:6 | And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars; see that ye be not troubled: for [these things] must needs come to pass; but the end is not yet. | But ye will hear of wars and rumours of wars. See that ye be not disturbed; for all [these things] must take place, but it is not yet the end. | And before long you will hear of wars and rumours of wars. Do not be alarmed, for such things must be; but the End is not yet. |

| Matthew 24:12 | And because iniquity shall be multiplied, the love of the many shall wax cold. | and because lawlessness shall prevail, the love of the most shall grow cold; | and because of the prevalent disregard of God's law the love of the great majority will grow cold; |
| Matthew 24:13 | But he that endureth to the end, the same shall be saved. | but he that has endured to the end, *he* shall be saved. | but those who stand firm to the End shall be saved. |
| Matthew 24:14 | And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world for a testimony unto all the nations; and then shall the end come. | And these glad tidings of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole habitable earth, for a witness to all the nations, and then shall come the end. | And this Good News of the Kingdom shall be proclaimed throughout the whole world to set the evidence before all the Gentiles; and then the End will come. |

| Matthew 24:19 | But woe unto them that are with child and to them that give suck in those days! | But woe to those that are with child, and those that give suck in those days. | And alas for the women who at that time are with child or have infants! |

| Matthew 24:21 | for then shall be great tribulation, such as hath not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, nor ever shall be. | for then shall there be great tribulation, such as has not been from [the] beginning of [the] world until now, nor ever shall be; | for it will be a time of great suffering, such as never has been from the beginning of the world till now, and assuredly never will be again. |
| Matthew 24:22 | And except those days had been shortened, no flesh would have been saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened. | and if those days had not been cut short, no flesh had been saved; but on account of the elect those days shall be cut short. | And if those days had not been cut short, no one would escape; but for the sake of God's own People those days will be cut short. |
