Acts 24:1 | And after five days the high priest Ananias came down with certain elders, and [with] an orator, one Tertullus; and they informed the governor against Paul. | And after five days the high priest Ananias came down, with some of the ancients, and one Tertullus an orator, who went to the governor against Paul. | And after five days came down the high priest Ananias, with the elders, and a certain orator called Tertullus, and laid their informations against Paul before the governor. |
Acts 24:2 | And when he was called, Tertullus began to accuse him, saying, Seeing that by thee we enjoy much peace, and that by the providence evils are corrected for this nation, | And Paul being called for, Tertullus began to accuse him, saying: Whereas through thee we live in much peace, and many things are rectified by thy providence, | And he having been called, Tertullus began to accuse, saying, Seeing we enjoy great peace through thee, and that excellent measures are executed for this nation by thy forethought, |
Acts 24:3 | we accept it in all ways and in all places, most excellent Felix, with all thankfulness. | We accept it always and in all places, most excellent Felix, with all thanksgiving. | we receive [it] always and everywhere, most excellent Felix, with all thankfulness. |

Acts 24:6 | who moreover assayed to profane the temple: on whom also we laid hold: [and we would have judged him according to our law.] | Who also hath gone about to profane the temple: whom, we having apprehended, would also have judged according to our law. | who also attempted to profane the temple; whom we also had seized, [and would have judged according to our law; |
Acts 24:7 | [But the chief captain Lysias came, and with great violence took him away out of our hands,] | But Lysias the tribune coming upon us, with great violence took him away out of our hands; | but Lysias, the chiliarch, coming up, took [him] away with great force out of our hands, |
Acts 24:8 | [commanding his accusers to come before thee.] from whom thou wilt be able, by examining him thyself, to take knowledge of all these things whereof we accuse him. | Commanding his accusers to come to thee: of whom thou mayest thyself, by examination, have knowledge of all these things, whereof we accuse him. | having commanded his accusers to come to thee;] of whom thou canst thyself, in examining [him], know the certainty of all these things of which we accuse him. |

Acts 24:10 | And when the governor had beckoned unto him to speak, Paul answered, Forasmuch as I know that thou hast been of many years a judge unto this nation, I cheerfully make my defense: | Then Paul answered, (the governor making a sign to him to speak:) Knowing that for many years thou hast been judge over this nation, I will with good courage answer for myself. | But Paul, the governor having beckoned to him to speak, answered, Knowing that for many years thou hast been judge to this nation, I answer readily as to the things which concern myself. |
Acts 24:11 | Seeing that thou canst take knowledge that it is not more than twelve days since I went up to worship at Jerusalem: | For thou mayest understand, that there are yet but twelve days, since I went up to adore in Jerusalem: | As thou mayest know that there are not more than twelve days since I went up to worship at Jerusalem, |
Acts 24:12 | and neither in the temple did they find me disputing with any man or stirring up a crowd, nor in the synagogues, nor in the city. | And neither in the temple did they find me disputing with any man, or causing any concourse of the people, neither in the synagogues, nor in the city: | and neither in the temple did they find me discoursing to any one, or making any tumultuous gathering together of the crowd, nor in the synagogues, nor in the city; |

Acts 24:15 | having hope toward God, which these also themselves look for, that there shall be a resurrection both of the just and unjust. | Having hope in God, which these also themselves look for, that there shall be a resurrection of the just and unjust. | having hope towards God, which they themselves also receive, that there is to be a resurrection both of just and unjust. |
Acts 24:16 | Herein I also exercise myself to have a conscience void of offence toward God and men always. | And herein do I endeavour to have always a conscience without offence toward God, and towards men. | For this cause I also exercise [myself] to have in everything a conscience without offence towards God and men. |

Acts 24:20 | Or else let these men themselves say what wrong-doing they found when I stood before the council, | Or let these men themselves say, if they found in me any iniquity, when standing before the council, | or let these themselves say what wrong they found in me when I stood before the council, |
Acts 24:21 | except it be for this one voice, that I cried standing among them, Touching the resurrection of the dead I am called in question before you this day. | Except it be for this one voice only that I cried, standing among them, Concerning the resurrection of the dead am I judged this day by you. | [other] than concerning this one voice which I cried standing amongst them: I am judged this day by you touching [the] resurrection of [the] dead. |
Acts 24:22 | But Felix, having more exact knowledge concerning the Way, deferred them, saying, When Lysias the chief captain shall come down, I will determine your matter. | And Felix put them off, having most certain knowledge of this way, saying: When Lysias the tribune shall come down, I will hear you. | And Felix, knowing accurately the things concerning the way, adjourned them, saying, When Lysias the chiliarch is come down I will determine your affair; |
Acts 24:23 | And he gave order to the centurion that he should be kept in charge, and should have indulgence; and not to forbid any of his friends to minister unto him. | And he commanded a centurion to keep him, and that he should be easy, and that he should not prohibit any of his friends to minister unto him. | ordering the centurion to keep him, and that he should have freedom, and to hinder none of his friends to minister to him. |
Acts 24:24 | But after certain days, Felix came with Drusilla, his wife, who was a Jewess, and sent for Paul, and heard him concerning the faith in Christ Jesus. | And after some days, Felix, coming with Drusilla his wife, who was a Jew, sent for Paul, and heard of him the faith, that is in Christ Jesus. | And after certain days, Felix having arrived with Drusilla his wife, who was a Jewess, he sent for Paul and heard him concerning the faith in Christ. |
Acts 24:25 | And as he reasoned of righteousness, and self-control, and the judgment to come, Felix was terrified, and answered, Go thy way for this time; and when I have a convenient season, I will call thee unto me. | And as he treated of justice, and chastity, and of the judgment to come, Felix being terrified, answered: For this time, go thy way: but when I have a convenient time, I will send for thee. | And as he reasoned concerning righteousness, and temperance, and the judgment about to come, Felix, being filled with fear, answered, Go for the present, and when I get an opportunity I will send for thee; |
Acts 24:26 | He hoped withal that money would be given him of Paul: wherefore also he sent for him the oftener, and communed with him. | Hoping also withal, that money should be given him by Paul; for which cause also oftentimes sending for him, he spoke with him. | hoping at the same time that money would be given him by Paul: wherefore also he sent for him the oftener and communed with him. |
Acts 24:27 | But when two years were fulfilled, Felix was succeeded by Porcius Festus; and desiring to gain favor with the Jews, Felix left Paul in bonds. | But when two years were ended, Felix had for successor Portius Festus. And Felix being willing to shew the Jews a pleasure, left Paul bound. | But when two years were completed, Felix was relieved by Porcius Festus as his successor; and Felix, desirous to oblige the Jews, to acquire their favour, left Paul bound. |
