Luke 11:6 | for a friend of mine is come to me from a journey, and I have nothing to set before him; | Because a friend of mine is come off his journey to me, and I have not what to set before him. | since a friend of mine on a journey is come to me, and I have nothing to set before him; |
Luke 11:7 | and he from within shall answer and say, Trouble me not: the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot rise and give thee? | And he from within should answer, and say: Trouble me not, the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot rise and give thee. | and he within answering should say, Do not disturb me; the door is already shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot rise up to give [it] thee? |
Luke 11:8 | I say unto you, Though he will not rise and give him because he is his friend, yet because of his importunity he will arise and give him as many as he needeth. | Yet if he shall continue knocking, I say to you, although he will not rise and give him, because he is his friend; yet, because of his importunity, he will rise, and give him as many as he needeth. | I say to you, Although he will not get up and give [them] to him because he is his friend, because of his shamelessness, at any rate, he will rise and give him as many as he wants. |
Luke 11:9 | And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. | And I say to you, Ask, and it shall be given you: seek, and you shall find: knock, and it shall be opened to you. | And *I* say to you, Ask, and it shall be given to you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you. |

And the crowds wondered. |
Luke 11:15 | But some of them said, By Beelzebub the prince of the demons casteth he out demons. | But some of them said: He casteth out devils by Beelzebub, the prince of devils. | But some from among them said, By Beelzebub the prince of the demons casts he out demons. |

Luke 11:18 | And if Satan also is divided against himself, how shall his kingdom stand? because ye say that I cast out demons by Beelzebub. | And if Satan also be divided against himself, how shall his kingdom stand? because you say, that through Beelzebub I cast out devils. | and if also Satan is divided against himself, how shall his kingdom subsist? because ye say that I cast out demons by Beelzebub. |
Luke 11:19 | And if I by Beelzebub cast out demons, by whom do your sons cast them out? therefore shall they be your judges. | Now if I cast out devils by Beelzebub; by whom do your children cast them out? Luke 11:28 | But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it. | But he said: Yea rather, blessed are they who hear the word of God, and keep it. | But *he* said, Yea rather, blessed are they who hear the word of God and keep [it]. |
Luke 11:29 | And when the multitudes were gathering together unto him, he began to say, This generation is an evil generation: it seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it but the sign of Jonah. | And the multitudes running together, he began to say: This generation is a wicked generation: it asketh a sign, and a sign shall not be given it, but the sign of Jonas the prophet. | But as the crowds thronged together, he began to say, This generation is a wicked generation: it seeks a sign, and a sign shall not be given to it but the sign of Jonas. |

Luke 11:33 | No man, when he hath lighted a lamp, putteth it in a cellar, neither under the bushel, but on the stand, that they which enter in may see the light. | No man lighteth a candle, and putteth it in a hidden place, nore under a bushel; but upon a candlestick, that they that come in, may see the light. | But no one having lit a lamp sets it in secret, nor under the corn-measure, but on the lamp-stand, that they who enter in may see the light. |
Luke 11:34 | The lamp of thy body is thine eye: when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light; but when it is evil, thy body also is full of darkness. | The light of thy body is thy eye. If thy eye be single, thy whole body will be lightsome: but if it be evil, thy body also will be darksome. | The lamp of the body is thine eye: when thine eye is simple, thy whole body also is light; but when it is wicked, thy body also is dark. |

Luke 11:36 | If therefore thy whole body be full of light, having no part dark, it shall be wholly full of light, as when the lamp with its bright shining doth give thee light. | If then thy whole body be lightsome, having no part of darkness; the whole shall be lightsome; and as a bright lamp, shall enlighten thee. | If therefore thy whole body [is] light, not having any part dark, it shall be all light as when the lamp lights thee with its brightness. |

Luke 11:39 | And the Lord said unto him, Now ye the Pharisees cleanse the outside of the cup and of the platter; but your inward part is full of extortion and wickedness. | And the Lord said to him: Now you Pharisees make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter; but your inside is full of rapine and iniquity. | But the Lord said to him, Now do ye Pharisees cleanse the outside of the cup and of the dish, but your inward [parts] are full of plunder and wickedness. |
Luke 11:40 | Ye foolish ones, did not he that made the outside make the inside also? | Ye fools, did not he that made that which is without, make also that which is within? | Fools, has not he who has made the outside made the inside also? |
Luke 11:41 | But give for alms those things which are within; and behold, all things are clean unto you. | But yet that which remaineth, give alms; and behold, all things are clean unto you. | But rather give alms of what ye have, and behold, all things are clean to you. |
Luke 11:42 | But woe unto you Pharisees! for ye tithe mint and rue and every herb, and pass over justice and the love of God: but these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone. | But woe to you, Pharisees, because you tithe mint and rue and every herb; and pass over judgment, and the charity of God. Now these things you ought to have done, and not to leave the other undone. | But woe unto you, Pharisees, for ye pay tithes of mint and rue and every herb, and pass by the judgment and the love of God: these ye ought to have done, and not have left those aside. |
Luke 11:43 | Woe unto you Pharisees! for ye love the chief seats in the synagogues, and the salutations in the marketplaces. | Woe to you, Pharisees, because you love the uppermost seats in the synagogues, and salutations in the marketplace. | Woe unto you, Pharisees, for ye love the first seat in the synagogues and salutations in the market-places. |

Luke 11:46 | And he said, Woe unto you lawyers also! for ye load men with burdens grievous to be borne, and ye yourselves touch not the burdens with one of your fingers. | But he said: Woe to you lawyers also, because you load men with burdens which they cannot bear, and you yourselves touch not the packs with one of your fingers. | And he said, To you also woe, doctors of the law, for ye lay upon men burdens heavy to bear, and yourselves do not touch the burdens with one of your fingers. |
Luke 11:47 | Woe unto you! for ye build the tombs of the prophets, and your fathers killed them. | Woe to you who build the monuments of the prophets: and your fathers killed them. | Woe unto you, for ye build the sepulchres of the prophets, but your fathers killed them. |
Luke 11:48 | So ye are witnesses and consent unto the works of your fathers: for they killed them, and ye build [their tombs]. | Truly you bear witness that you consent to the doings of your fathers: for they indeed killed them, and you build their sepulchres. | Ye bear witness then, and consent to the works of your fathers; for *they* killed them, and *ye* build [their sepulchres]. |
Luke 11:49 | Therefore also said the wisdom of God, I will send unto them prophets and apostles; and [some] of them they shall kill and persecute; | For this cause also the wisdom of God said: I will send to them prophets and apostles; and some of them they will kill and persecute. | For this reason also the wisdom of God has said, I will send to them prophets and apostles, and of these shall they kill and drive out by persecution, |
Luke 11:50 | that the blood of all the prophets, which was shed from the foundation of the world, may be required of this generation; | That the blood of all the prophets which was shed from the foundation of the world, may be required of this generation, | that the blood of all the prophets which has been poured out from the foundation of the world may be required of this generation, |
