| Genesis 37:1 | And Jacob dwelt in the land of his father's sojournings, in the land of Canaan. | And Jacob dwelt in the land of Chanaan wherein his father sojourned. | Jacob lived in the land of his father's travels, in the land of Canaan. |
| Genesis 37:2 | These are the generations of Jacob. Joseph, being seventeen years old, was feeding the flock with his brethren; and he was a lad with the sons of Bilhah, and with the sons of Zilpah, his father's wives: and Joseph brought the evil report of them unto their father. | And these are his generations: Joseph, when he was sixteen years old, was feeding the dock with his brethren, being but a boy: and he was with the sons of and of Zelpha his father's wives : and he accused his brethren to his father of a most wicked crime. | This is the history of the generations of Jacob. Joseph, being seventeen years old, was feeding the flock with his brothers. He was a boy with the sons of Bilhah and Zilpah, his father's wives. And they hated him yet the more for his dreams, and for his words. | His brethren answered : Shalt thou be our king? or shall we be subject to thy dominion? Therefore this matter of his dreams and words ministered nourishment to their envy and hatred. | His brothers said to him, "Will you indeed reign over us? Or will you indeed have dominion over us?" They hated him all the more for his dreams and for his words. |

So he sent him out of the vale of Hebron, and he came to Shechem. | I am ready: he said to him: Go, and see if all things be well with thy brethren, and the cattle: and bring me word again what is doing. So being sent from the vale of Hebron, he came to Sichem: | He said to him, "Go now, see whether it is well with your brothers, and well with the flock; and bring me word again." So he sent him out of the vale of Hebron, and he came to Shechem. |

And Joseph went forward after his brethren, and found them in Dothain. | The man said, "They have left here, for I heard them say, 'Let us go to Dothan.'" | Genesis 37:32 | and they sent the coat of many colors, and they brought it to their father, and said, This have we found: know now whether it is thy son's coat or not. | Sending some to carry it to their father, and to say: This we have found: see whether it be thy son's coat, or not. | They took the coat of many colors, and they brought it to their father, and said, "We have found this. Examine it, now, whether it is your son's coat or not." |
