| Luke 19:2 | And behold, a man called by name Zacchaeus; and he was a chief publican, and he was rich. | And behold, there was a man named Zacheus, who was the chief of the publicans, and he was rich. | and lo, a man, by name called Zaccheus, and he was a chief tax-gatherer, and he was rich, |
| Luke 19:3 | And he sought to see Jesus who he was; and could not for the crowd, because he was little of stature. | And he sought to see Jesus who he was, and he could not for the crowd, because he was low of stature. | and he was seeking to see Jesus, who he is, and was not able for the multitude, because in stature he was small, |
| Luke 19:4 | And he ran on before, and climbed up into a sycomore tree to see him: for he was to pass that way. | And running before, he climbed up into a sycamore tree, that he might see him; for he was to pass that way. | and having run forward before, he went up on a sycamore, that he may see him, because through that [way] he was about to pass by. |
