1st-Peter 5:1The elders among you I exhort, who am a fellow-elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, who am also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed: The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed: The elders which [are] among you I exhort, who [am their] fellow-elder and witness of the sufferings of the Christ, who also [am] partaker of the glory about to be revealed:
1st-Peter 5:2Tend the flock of God which is among you, exercising the oversight, not of constraint, but willingly, according to [the will of] God; nor yet for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind; Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind; shepherd the flock of God which [is] among you, exercising oversight, not by necessity, but willingly; not for base gain, but readily;
1st-Peter 5:3neither as lording it over the charge allotted to you, but making yourselves ensamples to the flock. Neither as being lords over God's heritage, but being ensamples to the flock. not as lording it over your possessions, but being models for the flock.
1st-Peter 5:4And when the chief Shepherd shall be manifested, ye shall receive the crown of glory that fadeth not away. And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away. And when the chief shepherd is manifested ye shall receive the unfading crown of glory.
1st-Peter 5:5Likewise, ye younger, be subject unto the elder. Yea, all of you gird yourselves with humility, to serve one another: for God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace to the humble. Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble. Likewise [ye] younger, be subject to [the] elder, and all of you bind on humility towards one another; for God sets himself against [the] proud, but to [the] humble gives grace.
1st-Peter 5:6Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time; Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in [the due] time;
1st-Peter 5:7casting all your anxiety upon him, because he careth for you. Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. having cast all your care upon him, for he cares about you.
1st-Peter 5:8Be sober, be watchful: your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour, Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Be vigilant, watch. Your adversary [the] devil as a roaring lion walks about seeking whom he may devour.
1st-Peter 5:9whom withstand stedfast in your faith, knowing that the same sufferings are accomplished in your brethren who are in the world. Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. Whom resist, stedfast in faith, knowing that the selfsame sufferings are accomplished in your brotherhood which [is] in [the] world.
1st-Peter 5:10And the God of all grace, who called you unto his eternal glory in Christ, after that ye have suffered a little while, shall himself perfect, establish, strengthen you. But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. But the God of all grace who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ Jesus, when ye have suffered for a little while, himself shall make perfect, stablish, strengthen, ground:
1st-Peter 5:11To him [be] the dominion for ever and ever. Amen. To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. to him [be] the glory and the might for the ages of the ages. Amen.
1st-Peter 5:12By Silvanus, our faithful brother, as I account [him], I have written unto you briefly, exhorting, and testifying that this is the true grace of God. Stand ye fast therein. By Silvanus, a faithful brother unto you, as I suppose, I have written briefly, exhorting, and testifying that this is the true grace of God wherein ye stand. By Silvanus, the faithful brother, as I suppose, I have written to you briefly; exhorting and testifying that this is [the] true grace of God in which ye stand.
1st-Peter 5:13She that is in Babylon, elect together with [you], saluteth you; and [so doth] Mark my son. The church that is at Babylon, elected together with you, saluteth you; and so doth Marcus my son. She that is elected with [you] in Babylon salutes you, and Marcus my son.
1st-Peter 5:14Salute one another with a kiss of love. Peace be unto you all that are in Christ. Greet ye one another with a kiss of charity. Peace be with you all that are in Christ Jesus. Amen. Salute one another with a kiss of love. Peace be with you all who [are] in Christ.
