Romans 12:1I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, [which is] your spiritual service. I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the compassions of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, [which is] your intelligent service.
Romans 12:2And be not fashioned according to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, and ye may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. And be not conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of [your] mind, that ye may prove what [is] the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
Romans 12:3For I say, through the grace that was given me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think as to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to each man a measure of faith. For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. For I say, through the grace which has been given to me, to every one that is among you, not to have high thoughts above what he should think; but to think so as to be wise, as God has dealt to each a measure of faith.
Romans 12:4For even as we have many members in one body, and all the members have not the same office: For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: For, as in one body we have many members, but all the members have not the same office;
Romans 12:5so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and severally members one of another. So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another. thus we, [being] many, are one body in Christ, and each one members one of the other.
Romans 12:6And having gifts differing according to the grace that was given to us, whether prophecy, [let us prophesy] according to the proportion of our faith; Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith; But having different gifts, according to the grace which has been given to us, whether [it be] prophecy, [let us prophesy] according to the proportion of faith;
Romans 12:7or ministry, [let us give ourselves] to our ministry; or he that teacheth, to his teaching; Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching; or service, [let us occupy ourselves] in service; or he that teaches, in teaching;
Romans 12:8or he that exhorteth, to his exhorting: he that giveth, [let him do it] with liberality; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that showeth mercy, with cheerfulness. Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness. or he that exhorts, in exhortation; he that gives, in simplicity; he that leads, with diligence; he that shews mercy, with cheerfulness.
Romans 12:9Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good. Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good. Let love be unfeigned; abhorring evil; cleaving to good:
Romans 12:10In love of the brethren be tenderly affectioned one to another; in honor preferring one another; Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another; as to brotherly love, kindly affectioned towards one another: as to honour, each taking the lead in paying it to the other:
Romans 12:11in diligence not slothful; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord; Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord; as to diligent zealousness, not slothful; in spirit fervent; serving the Lord.
Romans 12:12rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing stedfastly in prayer; Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer; As regards hope, rejoicing: as regards tribulation, enduring: as regards prayer, persevering:
Romans 12:13communicating to the necessities of the saints; given to hospitality. Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality. distributing to the necessities of the saints; given to hospitality.
Romans 12:14Bless them that persecute you; bless, and curse not. Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not. Bless them that persecute you; bless, and curse not.
Romans 12:15Rejoice with them that rejoice; weep with them that weep. Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep. Rejoice with those that rejoice, weep with those that weep.
Romans 12:16Be of the same mind one toward another. Set not your mind on high things, but condescend to things that are lowly. Be not wise in your own conceits. Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits. Have the same respect one for another, not minding high things, but going along with the lowly: be not wise in your own eyes:
Romans 12:17Render to no man evil for evil. Take thought for things honorable in the sight of all men. Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. recompensing to no one evil for evil: providing things honest before all men:
Romans 12:18If it be possible, as much as in you lieth, be at peace with all men. If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men. if possible, as far as depends on you, living in peace with all men;
Romans 12:19Avenge not yourselves, beloved, but give place unto the wrath [of God]: for it is written, Vengeance belongeth unto me; I will recompense, saith the Lord. Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. not avenging yourselves, beloved, but give place to wrath; for it is written, Vengeance [belongs] to me, *I* will recompense, saith the Lord.
Romans 12:20But if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him to drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head. Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. If therefore thine enemy should hunger, feed him; if he should thirst, give him drink; for, so doing, thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head.
Romans 12:21Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good. Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good. Be not overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
