| Amos 5:1 | Hear ye this word which I take up for a lamentation over you, O house of Israel. | | Hear ye this word, which I take up concerning you for a lamentation. The house of Israel is fallen, and it shall rise no more. |

| Amos 5:21 | I hate, I despise your feasts, and I will take no delight in your solemn assemblies. | | I hate, and have rejected your festivities: and I will not receive the odour of your assemblies. |
| Amos 5:22 | Yea, though ye offer me your burnt-offerings and meal-offerings, I will not accept them; neither will I regard the peace-offerings of your fat beasts. | | And if you offer me holocausts, and your gifts, I will not receive them: neither will I regard the vows of your fat beasts. |

| Amos 5:26 | Yea, ye have borne the tabernacle of your king and the shrine of your images, the star of your god, which ye made to yourselves. | | But you carried a tabernacle for your Moloch, and the image of your idols, the star of your god, which you made to yourselves. |
