| Romans 5:1 | Being therefore justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ; | Standing then acquitted as the result of faith, let us enjoy peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, | Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God, through our Lord Jesus Christ: |
| Romans 5:2 | through whom also we have had our access by faith into this grace wherein we stand; and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God. | through whom also, as the result of faith, we have obtained an introduction into that state of favour with God in which we stand, and we exult in hope of some day sharing in God's glory. | By whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. |

For if through the offense of one many are dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded to many. |
| Romans 5:16 | And not as through one that sinned, [so] is the gift: for the judgment [came] of one unto condemnation, but the free gift [came] of many trespasses unto justification. | And it is not with the gift as it was with the results of one individual's sin; for the judgement which one individual provoked resulted in condemnation, whereas the free gift after a multitude of transgressions results in acquittal. | And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift. For the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offenses to justification. |
| Romans 5:17 | For if, by the trespass of the one, death reigned through the one; much more shall they that receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one, [even] Jesus Christ. | For if, through the transgression of the one individual, Death made use of the one individual to seize the sovereignty, all the more shall those who receive God's overflowing grace and gift of righteousness reign as kings in Life through the one individual, Jesus Christ. | For if by one man's offense death reigned by one; much more they who receive abundance of grace, and of the gift of righteousness, shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ. |
| Romans 5:18 | So then as through one trespass [the judgment came] unto all men to condemnation; even so through one act of righteousness [the free gift came] unto all men to justification of life. | It follows then that just as the result of a single transgression is a condemnation which extends to the whole race, so also the result of a single decree of righteousness is a life-giving acquittal which extends to the whole race. | Therefore, as by the offense of one, judgment came upon all men to condemnation, even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men to justification of life. |

| Romans 5:21 | that, as sin reigned in death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. | in order that as sin has exercised kingly sway in inflicting death, so grace, too, may exercise kingly sway in bestowing a righteousness which results in the Life of the Ages through Jesus Christ our Lord. | That as sin hath reigned to death, even so might grace reign through righteousness to eternal life, by Jesus Christ our Lord. |
